Description:

Geothermal heat pump Ground-loop sourced geothermal heat pump, energy recovery ventilation, passive and simple active solar heat, grid-tied solar electric. Sub-floors, most windows, doors and nearly all insulation are recycled, near zero construction scrap, zero generator usage, bamboo floors, R30 recycled foam insulated walls, significant framing lumber savings from 'optimum value engineered' design. The target is an energy star rated net-zero home. Initially solar heating will be provided by the large built in front porch and some direct passive gain. A 3kw grid-tied PV array has been installed.
