Diamond Solar Inc.

We first started working with Diamond Solar in July 2022, panels were on the roof in early October 2022, but it is now March 2023 and we have yet to enjoy the benefits of having solar. The good: their sales and install team were great, answered all of our questions, responded quickly, and helped us pick the right solar package for our needs. The bad: as soon as we scheduled the installation for the panels, we had to initiate every communication with Diamond Solar and solve every problem ourselves. They did not tell us when the inspection was scheduled (it was at 7am) nor did they tell us that we had failed or why we failed until we called a few days later. There were a few issues - mostly minor items that could have been resolved easily (such as a missing placard on one of the new electrical component boxes) and a one medium problem that was an existing issue with our property (not Diamond Solar's fault, but frustrating that they didn't call it out when they surveyed the site to file the permit). Unfortunately, they only acted to resolve one problem at a time and we failed inspection two more times before I demanded a copy of the failed inspection report. It was now December (2 months after install) and the first time we learned of the existing property issue that would take a month to fix due to the holiday season and poor weather at the time. We resolved it and called Diamond Solar to schedule reinspection, where we got passed around internally for a week before someone told us we'd have to wait another 2 weeks because they failed to order another missing placard. FINALLY, in mid-February 2022 (4 months after install) we passed inspection. The Diamond Solar representative told us the paperwork was filed with the city and that everything was turned on. Unfortunately, that was not the end. Our electric bill arrived a few weeks later with no indication of solar anywhere. I called, and the utility company had no idea we were even thinking of installing solar, let alone that we had completed the entire process. I'm now working with them to get everything in order ahead of the quickly approaching NEM 3.0 deadline and hoping nothing else has to be fixed.

Sean and Tiffany are amazing. They hot me done is less than 30 days, the team working the roof had some issues and Tiffany quickly pivoted and explained how they needed to change to deck mounting. Very few issues with Sean and Tiffany on point. I highly recommend Diamond Solar! Love the relationship with the team.

I hired Diamond Solar to add on 15 panels to an existing 26 panel installation that was done by LA Solar Group. Contract was signed in August. Installation started in October and was not completed until January. There were at least 5 different times I was told someone would be at my house to work on it and no one showed up. I lost months of production on my existing panels during this time. I asked them to clean my panels to make up for the lost production, they said they would and it was never done. With LA Solar I had visibility to production on the Solaredge monitoring web site and app. Diamond did not set it up. I just got my first electric bill and my production was only up 5% year over year. Now I have to figure out how to deal with this. I don't understand why I was treated this badly as a customer. I paid cash for everything on time. I accepted their initial proposal price and didn't negotiate them down. They had my email address and cell number to text if there was trouble getting a hold of me.

I am one who shops around and received around 20+ quotes. Diamond Solar beat them all and received awesome customer service. Leo from Diamond Solar helped me through the whole process and made it very easy. I would 100% recommend Diamond Solar to any one looking into purchasing Solar.

Very impressed with Nikko and the company. They came up with strategic ideas for placement and ground mount options. Their customer service is also top notch!
