What You Need to Know
Open House Info:
This project is a Deep Energy Retrofit of an existing home. Our goal was to reduce energy consumption and to increase resilience for an uncertain future. The entire envelope was re-done, including extensive work in a very wet basement, high-R walls and roof, new fiberglass triple-glazed windows. Mechanical systems were upgraded - an old steam boiler replaced with a high-efficiency heat pump and a small woodstove; hot water is done with an on-demand gas heater; ventilation by HRV. Air sealed to 623cfm50. Final HERS rating of 27.
