Here are some geeky highlights: Roof: R-61 with 6” of polyisocyanurate rigid foam on exterior and 6”cellulose on interior. Walls: R-45 with 4” of polyisocyanurate rigid foam on exterior and 6" cellulose on interior. Basement walls: R-34 with 2.5” of close-cell spray foam on interior plus 5" cellulose . Basement floor: R-12 with 3” rigid EPS foam under a new concrete slab. Windows: R-5+ Accurate Dorwin triple glazed fiberglass windows and existing window quilts. Doors: R-5 Therma-Tru Fiberglass entry doors and R-4 Pella sliding patio door. Heating and cooling: Fujitsu high efficiency heat pump, with supplemental solar thermal. Open House Info:
From the East – take route 2 West to mile marker 65, just after the “Entering Erving” sign. Turn LEFT at the sign for 2A East and Erving State Forest. Go 50 yards and turn LEFT onto 2A towards Orange. From the West – take route 2 East and take the right fork onto 2A East, about 1⁄2 mile after the Erving Paper Mill. From route 2, go east on 2A for 3⁄4 mile and take your first left onto Mossbrook Rd (Wendell Depot Rd will be on the right). In about 1 mile you will be in Warwick and the road becomes Wendell Rd, At about 2 miles from Rte 2A, the road turns sharply right and then after 1⁄4 mile, sharply left. 881 Wendell Rd. will be on your left immediately after the sharp left turn. Look for the brown mailbox with “Kurkoski” on it. The house, not visible from the road, is up the steep dirt driveway. Come on up! NOTE – there is no cell phone service in Warwick, but folks are very helpful if you get lost.
