What You Need to Know
Description:
37 panels on the front and rear of the house
Other Benefits:
It does make a little bit of electricity. But its way less than we planned on.
Maintenance Requirements:
We don’t know and the installers refuse to take our calls or answer questions. We even contacted the finance company because they said they had a liaison to assist with communication. Its been weeks and we are still waiting for a call. When I call during business hours they just take a message and won’t answer any questions.
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
None. And now other solar companies don’t want to take over our installed system. They can’t warranty it and don’t want to get involved
My Motivation:
We have a 70 year old house. Trying to modernize it.
Advice:
Be very careful about the company you choose. Its lot of money. The systems have 25-30 year warranties but that won’t help you if the installers disappear
Experience with Installer:
We thought the install went well until the roof leaked. It was generating a lot of power. We loved it. Had to get the roof tarped and fight it out with the insurance. Get a new roof. Get the panels back up. Now it makes little to no power at all. Have no idea how that happens. And can’t get any help
Additional Notes:
Would love for the installers to step up and trouble shoot it and get it working again. But the owner does not care.
Open House Info:
We live in La Marque TX on 3 acres right off the interstate. Easy to find us.
