What You Need to Know
Other Benefits:
Conversation starter that encourages neighbors to go solar.
Maintenance Requirements:
None so far.
My Motivation:
I wanted to go solar when I bought my home in 2010. I didn't find it affordable or that there were enough experienced installers at the time. In 2019, a door-to-door salesman tipped me off that it was the last year for the full Federal tax credit before it starts stepping down.
Advice:
Do your research on EnergySage.com. Get at least three estimates. Meet and greet with the potential installers to find that the one suits you. Avoid VivintSolar.
Experience with Installer:
I can't recommend NoVA Solar Inc. highly enough. You will find my stellar review along with many others on their website.
