What You Need to Know
Description:
6.6 Kwh, 24 LG 360w modules & Enphase micro inverters, 24 panels,
Maintenance Requirements:
no maintenance, reduced solar production during Febr 2020 (due to ice on panels)
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
HES (Home energy solution), cold climate heat pump (heating & cooling), added insulation (attic, garage walls & ceiling), electric car & EV charger, reused materials for garden bed, composting, rain barrels, umbrella clothesline outside, induction plate
My Motivation:
concern for health of the planet & people; save in the long run, added house value,
Advice:
use EnergySage to receive solar panel proposals; attend solar tour to get informed; if battery storage is essential perhaps consider ground-source heat pumps (geo-thermal)
Experience with Installer:
CTEC was the only solar company which suggested using additional panels on the other side of the roof; no longer seems to be doing residential solar
Additional Notes:
a lot of high tress but still enough sun light
Open House Info:
will be participating in an ASES open house October 3, 2021
