My Motivation:

While home value boost is nice, I'm mostly happy with my local energy generation. I hope long term I can reduce as many burned fuels to support my energy needs as possible, and this is a great start.

Advice:

Get in before discounts, rebates, and tax incentives disappear! Also, if you plan to upgrade appliances to all electric, plan for the additional load -- make sure your system will support as much as you intend to use in the next 5-10 years. Research the hardware options - not all solar panels are created equally, neither are inverters, etc

Experience with Installer:

Incredible team! Very quick, communicative, and helpful. The biggest difficulty was explaining to 3 different people how I wanted the conduit path routed - they each understood quickly, but didn't seem like they passed onto the next team involved.
