I signed the contract with them on 11/25/2019 to install 3.8KW solar system in my house and they did not start the solar installations until February 23, 2020. On the day of installation, one of the 12 panels was broken so they installed only 11 of the 12 panels. Since then, I had repeatedly asked them for a concrete date that they would return to install the missing panel but received empty of promises of "in few days" or "next week" or "soon" and yet even missed a promised date even after a month of waiting.
To inspect their work, I climbed on top of my roof and discovered that they had left holes un-caulked exposing the shingles to the elements. I had taken pictures and asked them to return to caulk the holes but they had ignored my phone calls and texts.
I do not recommend this company to anybody for they are just a middleman subcontracting their work to subcontractors. They have no control of the quality of the work, delivery schedule, and are non-responsive to problems.
Currently, I am still missing a panel while the rest are sitting on top of the roof doing nothing, not connected, not passing inspections. I had tried to request that they either complete the project timely or dissolve their contract, reimburse the costs of installing the last panel so that I could find another contractor to finish the project properly and timely but they have threatened to place a lien on property. I have made 80% of the payments according to the work schedule but they are failing on third phase of installing the panels. In order for them to receive the remaining payment, they must finish the installations, set up the smart metering and passing all inspections.
I have filed complaints with the Department of Consumer Protection Agency and Better Business Bureau in New York for breaching their contract.
Soon, I will be filing with the civil courts for contract breaching.
Overall, I wish I had never dealt business with this company for it has been a nightmare.
I should be enjoying having my solar power right now after paying a hefty sums of money but now I am looking at the annoying panels on top my roof rotten away and having to go to courts for contract breaching.
If I had to do this again, I would try to find a local company rather from an out of state (I live in CT and they are based in NY) and request for references.
