American Array Solar and Roofing

I was initially impressed with the responsiveness of AAR. I was told that I needed to get the decision made before Net 3.0 but then found out later that this in fact was not true. This was good because my system did not go live until 5 MONTHS after the projected start date. I had to have the installers come to my house several times to correctly connect the system so that my local energy provider would authorize the project. In the end the delays and the hassle probably cost me more than the savings that I gained from picking AAR. It didn't seem like their subcontractors were as knowledgeable as I would have liked, but it is what it is. I'm not sure that if I had to do it all over again I would choose AAR but so far so good.

Throughout the process, they were willing to work with me. I asked them to add more panels, and they did it where other companies told me no. When there was a hiccup due to me not being on site during the install, they came back to make it right. The system looks professionally installed, and they responded to every text and email that I sent I would work with them again.

American array solar has installed my system and I am very happy with it. I went through energysage to get competitive quotes and their quote was the best for me. They were on top of things throughout the installation process and getting PGE approval. They are always there for any service issues and I highly appreciate it!

Entire team was professional throughout the process, whether design, installation and inspection. Adam also provided many insightful suggestions when it came to circumstances specific to my house.

The quote I received from the AA Solar was very competitive. The process was easy once I accepted the offer. I was able to secure NEM2.0 in CA due to AA Solar being knowledge of the process. Few things to note: If you are not limited by the rooftop space just use more panels. It’s cheaper and makes zero difference in final production. In addition you save money on the inverters. This was explained to me by the AA Solar as well as the Energy Sage. The clipping is not much of an issue and whatever clipping loss there is will not pay for higher cost of the input on inverters over decades. I have nothing but positive experience with the American Array Solar. System is 10kW using 28 Panasonic EVPV 360BK panels with IQ8+ inverters.

I jumped on the solar band wagon super late and was in a rush to qualify for NEM 2.0. One of my friend recommended AA solar as he was going trough solar installation himself. He referred me to Daniel and I got the quote form him after a brief phone call. I did take quotes from other vendors too and Tesla was the only one charging less then AA but Tesla by that time had stopped taking new application under NEM 2.0. Daniel was very easy to work with and we signed the contract and submitted the application for permit to PG&E. Adam from design team reached out to me on a Saturday and went through some design issues and recommended some solutions. Philip was our installer and he was really very informative person and answered all my questions. He did a clean job and was even present on the day when city came for inspection. Their was an issue with newe sub panel grounding but it was resolved after I called them post instalation. Veena kept me in loop with all the steps my application was going through and informed me when I had received PTO from PG&E. Overall I had a great experience and i have already referred my friends to AA and they were also able to get in at NEM 2.0 rate. The next big question is about the maintenance/warranty support from AA solar, I am hoping they will provide the same customer satisfaction.
