This is the second solar system we've purchased in 2023. The first was for our primary residence in Colorado. This installation was for our retirement home in AZ, so we knew what we wanted beforehand and had clear expectations based on our previous experience. Saguaro Solar exceeded all of our expectations. There are a lot of companies out there that claim to be solar experts (we talked to many of them), but the reality with all that is required to coordinate with the local power company, equipment recommendations and ensuring compliance with regional building codes, it is always a bit of a guess to know if you are choosing a competent and capable contractor. The owner, Doug, answered the phone on our initial call. He is a great listener, kind and very communicative. Throughout the project, he immediately responded to our texts and calls, and his team was equally as professional. This is a very well managed company of people who are excellent at their job, from the inside manager, Bethany, who coordinated everything for us, to their lead installer, John, who despite some challenges with the heat on "install day", kept to schedule and did outstanding work. Saguaro Solar is a true team of professionals that will lead you through the process without stress, hassle or ambiguity. It's probably safe to say, given this review, that we are probably their happiest customer. Everyone we dealt with was super nice and accommodating. While there are many firms doing solar in our area and we talked with several, Saguaro Solar was the only one that was truly local which was the criteria we were concerned about. All the other companies imported their panels from either Europe or Asia. Saguaro Solar's panels are manufactured in Goodyear, AZ.

Everything went pretty well. There was a delay because of supply shortages and last minute contracts (like our) looking to lock in the best rate with TEP. That was OK. I would have rated 5 stars except they failed miserably to acknowledge and send a referral award to some friends who recommended them. I've appealed several times over several months without recognition. I'm disappointed and embarrassed about how this has NOT been handled. FOLLOW UP - Saguaro responded almost immediately and explained where there was a disconnect (pardon the pun). They have assured me that this will be taken care of immediately. I felt confident that they will make good and have changed my rating to 5 stars.
