Excel Home Solar

We had out panels installed in December 2021. We received many quotes and decided to go with Excel Home Solar due to price, reviews, and general "we go this" demeaner. We worked along side Covey Murray, Director of Sales, who analyzed our electric bills and usage, and proposed 2 different options for our home, 26 and 30 panels. We opted to go with the 30 panel system because it would produce almost the exact amount needed annually based of our bills. We then opted to add on an additional 4 panels for future energy needs and to not have to pay electric bills again. Well 3 months past after installation and we noticed our bills were still a bit high and we were not producing what we thought we needed to be. Covey told us to rest assure and due to peaks and valleys in sun output throughout the year and energy consumption that it would take a year for our credits to balance out with what we actually use. Fast forward to now. I looked into every monthly electric bill we paid for the past 2 plus years and analyzed our energy usage compared to our productions. WE ARN'T PRODUCING ENOUGH. Sounds like a simple fix at first until it was discovered that Excel Home Solar put 25 panels onto the final contract and installed 25 onto our home for the same agreed upon and accepted price as 34 panels. So in short, we have been paying for 34 panels for over a year but we have only been producing for 25 panels. in 2021 before Home Excel Solar got involved my average electric bill was $175. In 2022 with solar my bill is now OVER $200 including payments for the panels. We have contacted them many times about this issue but they refuse to accept responsibly for the contractual mistake and offer a solution.

They've a great line of BS, sales pitch until they get your $, then there's zero consideration for your BILLS you get. "The sun". Last month $123 electric bill. Panels don't produce enough, period. Keep your money, donate to a good cause not Excel.

When I knew we wanted to put a solar system on our house there was only one company we needed to call! And that is Excel solar! Covey, Jim and Gene couldn’t be more accommodating and patient to explain me the process that we would go through until we can start harvesting our own electricity!

No electric bill and fantastic service!

We’ve looked in to solar a number of time over the last 5 years. The second time was about 1.5 years ago and we looked at two national companies and Excel. We decided at that point is wasn’t the right time for us to install. We recently decided to look in to it again and looked at another local provider but I had to call Covey at Excel. We decided, based on the equipment and service that Excel was the right company for us. We went to contract and in no time at all we are up and running. Everyone at Excel is extremely professional and responsive. I manage the hell out of a contract Gene, Covey and everyone there didn’t hesitate that answer my calls and emails. We couldn’t be happier with Excel. If you want solar call Covey. You’ll be glad you did.
