Combined Solar Hot Water and Space Heat system that heats the main space in the winter, and provides 100% of our domestic hot water needs.
Other Benefits:
A fan coil unit installed on the tank dumps excess heat into the basement. This serves the dual purpose of being a safety precaution preventing the tank from overheating, and a dehumidifier for our damp Cape Cod basement.
Maintenance Requirements:
Not much maintenance. We do have to be mindful of our water use if there are long stretched of rainy/cloudy weather.
