Welcome to Solarize 7+. We’re a bunch of Washington County neighbors who are thinking about installing solar panels on our homes. We wondered if working together we could find lower costs. In researching possibilities, we learned about a program sponsored by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Association) that gives incentives to homeowners by streamlining the vetting process and taking advantage of the purchasing power in one geographic area. We received a $5,000. grant to publicize this program throughout the seven towns of Southern Washington County (Argyle, Salem, Easton, Greenwich, Jackson, Cambridge, White Creek.) The “+” at the end of our name indicates that folks from surrounding towns can also participate.
