DENVER, CO – August 25, 2014
The Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) today announced a partnership with EnergySage to make it easier for Coloradans to go solar and to help Colorado solar companies grow their businesses efficiently.
COSEIA and EnergySage will partner on initiatives to help consumers research and comparison-shop for solar. Consumers - including homeowners, businesses and non-profits - will visit COSEIA's dedicated solar program websites – including Solar Friendly Communities, Million Solar Roofs, Go Solar Colorado - to get a free instant solar estimate of the cost and financial benefits of installing solar PV systems. Consumers who create an account on the EnergySage Solar Marketplace will receive quotes from multiple, pre-screened high quality solar installers, who are COSEIA members, and compare the offers in an apples-to-apples format to select the best offer that meets their specific needs and goals.
“With utility rates rising and solar installation costs falling, now is a great time to look into putting solar on your property.”
The EnergySage Solar Marketplace, a comprehensive consumer destination site for solar PV systems, will serve as the programs engine, helping homeowners, businesses and non-profits to research and obtain quotes for solar power systems, for all financing options, at no cost to them.
“Multiple quotes provide consumers with options including choice of panels, brands, installers and financing options that include solar leases, PPAs and solar loans,” said Vikram Aggarwal, CEO of EnergySage. EnergySage has received two prestigious SunShot Awards from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop the Solar Marketplace.
“There has never been a better time to go solar in Colorado,” said Rebecca Cantwell, executive director of COSEIA. “With utility rates rising and solar installation costs falling, now is a great time to look into putting solar on your property. People going solar in Colorado can see their investment paid back often in less than 10 years and can save thousands on energy costs for years to come.”
COSEIA members interested in participating in this solar outreach program can begin by completing an online company profile. Participation in the program requires no upfront cost and participating installation companies will enjoy the opportunity to connect with qualified consumers through a simple online platform.
