We captured the amazing power of the sun. We have now purchased a 2013 Chevy Volt which is an extended range electric vehicle. It is driven approximately 42 miles Monday through Friday and does it completely on battery power. We charge it every night using the power produced with our solar panels thanks to net metering. With the solar panels we have eliminated our electric bill and drive the Volt without using any gasoline. We should see a return on both the Volt and the solar panels within seven years. This year we will have a Chevy Volt for people to look over, ask questions about and take a test drive courtesy of Whiteman Chevrolet from Glens Falls, NY.
