Additional Notes:
While many are in denial, the writing has been on the wall for quite some time with respect to Global Warming and Climate Change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T4UF_Rmlio. It is time to cut our carbon footprint so that one can leave behind a habitable planet for the next generation. We don’t need to choose energy sources that leave behind polluted air and water, devastate areas where these sources are extracted from the earth, create drought, wreck our normal weather patterns and produce storms of increasing severity. It has been reported that Texas has enough Solar potential to power the entire world two times over and we are now at a point in time where it the costs of a Solar installation are so low that one can recover the cost within 6-7 years. It makes no sense now to leave the ERCOT rebate money on the table and to not use the Federal Tax credit. I am very happy with my system that has been producing power for my home since June 21, 2014. The maximum my system has produced on a single day is 71 Kwh. It took only 19 days to generate the first Mwh (1000 Kwh). Oncor reprogrammed my electric meter on July 9th and by September 9, I had already pushed 1 Mwh (1000 Kwh) into the Texas grid (recorded under code 57 on the Oncor meter). I expect to save about $1,800 annually with my electricity bills.
