What You Need to Know
Description:
Our system is divided in two sets of panels. This was done or decided at the time of installation because of a problem later found in the roof.
Other Benefits:
Energy saving and good production during the day
Maintenance Requirements:
Not yet, just installed. The only maintenance we are aware of is cleaning and the maintenance is included within our contract for up to 25 years
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
None
My Motivation:
To lower our energy bill for long run, to increase the value or our home, to generate income income and to have a environmental home as much as possible
Advice:
To ask a lot of questions, to meet with a representative and to not let them pressure you into signing a contract. To thoroughly have someone you trust examine your roof prior.
Experience with Installer:
I hated the process and regret selecting the company that I used. They were rude and I constantly dealt with someone different. The communication was very poor on the process and scheduling was all done last minute. A representative never meet with us in person. I selected them based on the positive reviews they had, but my experience was nothing like what I read. We had to let them know or suggest a better positioning of the panels based on how the sun comes up. We never received an explanation of the best placement of our panels nor were given any options on placement,
Additional Notes:
We had to change the layout on the day of installation because a leak in our roof was discovered that day, although the company sent someone to inspect the roof prior. Very unhappy with the entire process.
