Opportunity to join an exciting, fast growing startup in the renewable energy industry. Reporting to the CEO the person will be instrumental in contribute to the operations and growth of the company and learn new skills. S/he will own the accounting for the company. S/he will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced leadership team while being challenged by stretch assignments and other professional development opportunities.

Ongoing responsibilities will include:

  • Perform accounting activities for all revenue and expense transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries. Use Quickbooks to manage accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close process, including accruals, analysis, and financial statement preparation.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Analyze financial reports and record
  • Manage accounts receivables and payables
  • Make accounting recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Prepare cash flow statements and forecast.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits.
  • Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team.
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the group accounting and finance team or with other departments.
  • Prepare reports for our Federal contracts and shareholders
  • Prepare special reports/projects, as necessary, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Analysis of cost structure to determine and optimize key financial metrics (e.g., gross margins, customer acquisition costs)
  • Support venture capital raise process by building financial models and support due diligence process
  • Determine pricing for current and new products and lines of business

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Define and manage product road map, including defining market and customer,
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements and how best to achieve them.
  • Collaborate with CTO to prioritize new features & bugs and manage the product roadmap,
  • Conduct primary and secondary research, competitive research to determine stakeholder needs and objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret competitive, sales, and product analytics data to help drive strategic and tactical roadmap decisions.
  • Continuously optimize the platform. Propose and lead implementation of new A/B tests aimed at improving customer experience and success metrics.
  • Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems.
  • Define success metrics for new projects and track conversion/funnel metrics for existing products to ensure that all projects and existing functionality are moving towards our defined goals.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective action plans to resolve issues.
  • Primary and secondary research skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – from strategic vision to specific details of implementation.
  • A self-starter who is confident in their ability to move projects forward, effectively track and communicate status and issues, and lead a cross-functional team towards product solutions.

We’re looking for a Data Analytics Intern that can support our engineering team in building out our marketplace analytics engine, and then go on to leverage this tool to unearth a wide range of business insights for the company. This is a high-growth internship opportunity that requires someone who is detail-oriented, loves data, and can think like both a solar shopper and solar installer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement rich data tracking and analysis systems for marketplace performance optimization
  • Analyze customer usage and marketplace trends to help shape product development strategy
  • Conduct data mining and analysis to uncover trends and correlations to better predict business results
  • Identify data gaps and new data sources needed to improve model predictive capabilities
  • Develop mathematical and statistical models for predicting transaction volume, close rates, and other business success metrics

Required Skills & Experience
