What You Need to Know
Description:
36 panels with microinverters in a symmetrically pleasing array on my garage roof.
Maintenance Requirements:
annual system check (free for 10 years)
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
triple-paned windows, weather stripping, compact florescent bulbs, power strips on non-constant use appliances.
My Motivation:
Save money, help the planet.
Advice:
Be sure to get proposals based on actual site measurements, not just computer generated estimates. Fully understand the benefits/trade-offs of "lease vs. purchase" with respect to tax benefits and SRECS.
Experience with Installer:
Excellent experience. Staff was fully knowledgeable, answered all of my questions promptly, gave me a proposal *after* on-site measurements were taken - much more accurate than other proposals. Honored my desire for a visually aesthetic installation. Kept me apprised of the entire installation process and all was completed on-schedule.
