Strawberry Solar

Strawberry installed my system (42 Panels, 2 Tesla Batteries and all controls) in August 2024. I waited for 6 months to verify that everything they claimed and promised transpired as they said. They did a very good job of communicating through the entire process even when we had a hiccup with Consumers Energy. The entire team was very responsive to every question I had and made sure we were happy. I am happy to report, they took care of EVERYTHING from start to finish even though we are 150 miles away in the Grand Rapids area.

I do a lot of research into topics before making a purchase. I ask a lot of detailed/technical questions and the guys at Strawberry Solar were great! After getting some detail from them on my install we actually modified their original quote to better suit my needs and reduced the total cost a bit. Overall i was very impressed with their knowledge and service. They kept me up to date on the project and finished the installation in one day. They also handled all the forms and requests with DTE and arranged for the proper inspections to be done. It was a surprisingly painless process once Strawberry got involved. The panels have been installed on my house now for about a year and i have had no problems with it, and i would know since i have power monitoring hardware/software running for my house 24/7. The only minor issue I had noticed right after the install was that if I stood on the ground and looked at the right angle to see between the panels and my roof, there were 2 wires that were hanging down a little low. I called Strawberry and let them know about it and they sent someone out to take care of it within a day or two. No problem since.

Strawberry installed our solar panels a little over a month ago, and it went great! The folks were efficient and courteous, and we are currently paying nothing for our electricity, Including charging two electric cars! Following the installation, they answered any of my questions quickly.

Throughout the process they were attentive, courteous and informative. The installation went without a hitch and the panels look great. Everyone we met was professional and and friendly. I definitely would recommend them and will use them again for any upgrades or additions.

9.6 KW system with emphase IQ 8 micro inverters. Professional, personal, and efficient. The whole team treated my family and me with tremendous respect and answered all of my questions and concerns. I have had my system since the end of October 2023 and extremely happy with it. Would recommend them highly.

System Details: 15.68 kW DC, Silfab Solar 490 W solar panels, SolarEdge S500 DC Optimizers, SolarEdge SE10000 Inverters, LG Resu Prime 16 kWh batteries, Home – 2 x 200 amp panels, geothermal heat pump for heating/cooling (including hot water heater), electric appliances. System has been up around 11 months, overall production has been consistent with the initial estimate from the proposal. We started this process in October 2021, contract signed August 2022, and final install finished January 2023. We had numerous design changes from our standpoint (and some delays with city/county approvals) and at no point were we pressured or felt frustration from anyone at Strawberry. Gunnar handled most of the contact and design and was fantastic to work with. He was extremely attentive/responsive to all our questions. Not once did we get the sense he was trying to sell us anything – he had a much more educational approach and was happy to entertain all my hypotheticals. Kenan and Mason (as well as the rest of the electricians) were extremely knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot and address issues that arose with the complicated system. We had to rearrange several circuits given our multiple panels and geothermal system – they navigated everything with ease. Whenever we’ve had any type of electrical issue, even if not related to the Solar install, I do not hesitate to reach out and they have always been extremely responsive. Tim was great in setting up and troubleshooting issues with the integration of all our systems. Overall, fantastic experience. I know this was not an easy install, and Strawberry handled it well. I would work with anyone at Strawberry again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them.
