ARE Solar

ARE installed a 9.0KW ground mounted array for us with some challenging conditions. They encountered rock in the area where we wanted the array, but were able to deal with the conditions. Also the array was 300 feet from the house so required a long trench. Our system is now producing energy and we are quite happy. We were hoping to get the system installed in October 2023, but ended up being November 2023 before they could get to us as they were quite busy. But it all worked out.

We did a lot of research before committing in order to find a local company that was able to build the system we wanted at a competitive price, who also had a good reputation for post commissioning support and responsiveness. After all of the horror stories I heard from customers and online reviews of national installer chains, finding a solid local company was extremely important to me. From sales, to install, to commissioning, the team was communicative and professional. They were true to their timelines and communicated any potential delays re: permitting or otherwise. I haven't had any issues getting in touch with them post commissioning to iron out some small issues (that were potentially system firmware related and quickly resolved), which gives me a lot of confidence that I'll be able to keep my system operating as expected going forward.

I did a lot of researcher before even trying to contact a solar company. I was surprised once I was ready how hard it was to get a company that would meet my specifications and also be fair and up front. Energy Sage helped me in my search because I was able to find a lot better solar installers than I was finding on my own. And thankfully I found ARE on here! ARE was very prompt and easy to talk with about the design of our system. And while not the absolute cheapest option, I could tell there was a strong focus on quality and making sure things were done right. Once we got to installation they continued to provide excellent service. Both in being professional and detailed in their install, but also highly responsive to my questions and opinions. It's hard to sum up a project as large and complicated as a solar install in a review. But quite simply, there was nothing I felt ARE could have done better. They were very reasonable, easy to work with, and gave significant effort to make sure I was happy!

Great experience throughout, recommend without hesitation. 1. Businesslike approach, they do what they say they will do 2. I value responsiveness! I found that they responded to emails or voicemails within 24 hours. How unusual is that? 3. Worked on schedule, worked around our schedule, efficient install team, cleaned up after themselves. 4. They are on the RENU list of state approved contractors that allowed us to receive a low interest loan for the system. 5. They took care of all the Xcel energy paperwork, all I had to do was sign the forms.

ARE Solar was fantastic. They provided a lot of education about the process as well as the completed system, excellent customer service and communication, and professionalism. We had a difficult roof to work with and ARE Solar went above and beyond with it. I highly recommend them!
