This company helped me upon closing the sale of my house. My installer had gone out of business and this company jumped right in to fix a technical issue straight away working very well to help me on a time crunch for closing. The staff worked above and beyond for me and I can honestly say I would use them again.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with Atma Energy for the installation of a solar system (18kW pv) and whole home backup (30kWh of Enphase batteries) on our house, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the initial sales process to the final installation, every step was executed with excellence and professionalism. Excellent Sales Process: Atma's sales team was exceptional from the get-go. They were knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely interested in understanding our needs and providing tailored solutions. Unlike some other companies we had interacted with, there was no pressure tactics or pushy sales pitches. Instead, they took the time to educate us about their proposed solutions and patiently answered all our questions, ensuring we felt confident in our decision to move forward with them. Great Technical Acumen: Throughout the planning and design phase, we had the pleasure of working with Atma's highly skilled technical team. They demonstrated a deep understanding of solar technology and were able to customize a system that perfectly suited our energy requirements and the layout of my property. As you can see from the photos, our roof has a wild number of pitches and slopes. Their attention to detail and commitment to delivering the most efficient solution possible were truly impressive and gave me peace of mind knowing that our investment was in capable hands. Permitting Process: Atma made the permitting process effortless. They efficiently handled all paperwork and coordination with the electrical company, city officials, and our HOA. We experienced no delays or complications, allowing the project to proceed seamlessly. Professionalism of Electricians and Installers: When it came time for the installation, Atma's electricians and installers were equally impressive. They arrived promptly and worked diligently to ensure that the installation process was completed with the utmost precision and attention to detail - sometimes not completing their work until well after dark. Not only were they highly skilled at their craft, but they also conducted themselves with professionalism and respect for my property. They kept the work area tidy and minimized any disruptions to our daily routine, which we really appreciated since we work from home. Incredible Responsiveness: One aspect of Atma that truly stood out to me was their responsiveness throughout the entire project. Whether it was answering emails or texts promptly, addressing any concerns we had, or providing regular updates on the progress of the installation, their team was always quick to respond and eager to assist. It was clear that they valued open communication and were committed to ensuring our complete satisfaction every step of the way. Our experience with Atma Energy was nothing short of exceptional. From their excellent sales process to their technical expertise, professionalism, and responsiveness, they exceeded my expectations in every aspect. We would highly recommend Atma to anyone considering a solar project.

Atma Energy was a good company to work with. Chris was helpful and was able to pull in other team members to answer any tough questions. Atma offered two different inverter options, as well as two different panel options. For inverters, they offered Enphase MicroInverters as well as Tesla String Inverters. I could tell they were very pro-Enphase, which was fine, but several other installers avoid Enphase due to a lack of Labor-Warranty if a micro-inverter should fail. Any while they offered Tesla, they didn't have many examples or show much confidence with Tesla. As for Panels, they offered the Rec405 and the QCELL405 (later the QCELL 425). They were the first installer I talked to, to bring up the newer QCELL model, but the higher 425 target didn't seem to affect the output since we were scoping a ~360W microinverter. I suppose general improvements in the panel would have been advantageous overall; some of that was unclear and it felt a bit like they let me assume the 425W panels would have been better beyond efficiency or degradation over time. My main constructive feedback would have been around Chris's knowledge of the Austin Energy metering setup. AE requires a second PV meter, and they don't have any net metering at all: They charge you for all you use and pay you for all you generate. This means that a battery backup is ONLY useful for outages, and does not let you save energy for nighttime or high-demand usage. It also does not allow you to avoid going up the tiered billing ladder. Chris was unaware of this and originally proposed a battery, saying it would let us avoid pulling from the grid from a pricing perspective. Overall, it was not a big deal, and I acknowledge there are many power providers out there, but not knowing Austin's setup was disappointing. All in all, I would recommend Atma Energy. We opted to go with an installer who knew Austin Energy better as well as had a more favorable relationship with Tesla since we did not think the cost of Micros was worth the ROI (our house and roof is a good candidates for String Inverters). I used ATMA and overall I am very satisfied. The city of Austin inspection went well but the city never gave a time. They just showed up. Very unprofessional. So the ATMA electrician wasn’t there and they flunked the inspection on some trivial items that could have been better handled if the city did a better job scheduling the inspection. Austin Energy was similar in that they verbally said everything was fine but then failed the inspection because of a missing warning label. So ATMA had to send someone to my house the next day to affix the label. This also could have been handled better by Austin. These type of delays made the timeline very long but ATMA did a good job of dealing with them. Sometimes the communication to me was incomplete but given the trivial issues that Austin handled poorly ATMA did great. System is up and running now with 26 panels and 2 batteries. I would highly recommend them.

My solar project was completed Aug 3rd, and I wanted to wait and see how well the system performed prior to writing a review. I always base a large purchase on "if I had the opportunity to make this decision again, would I make the same decision?" Absolutely! I am 100% satisfied with Atma Energy and the quality of work and system performance. When I decided to go solar, the next step was finding the "right" company for the job. I live in Georgetown and narrowed the search down to two companies, one in Austin and Atma Energy in San Antonio. After speaking with sales from both, I decided on Atma Energy. However, I was a bit concerned that Atma was still a "young" company, but my wife who was a Corporate Operations Officer for a software development company said to go with Atma "They will earn your business." She was right and Atma Energy has been incredibly responsive in all areas from the sales process, engineering, installation, and follow up to ensure I am completely satisfied. I seldom give a 5 star rating, but Atma Energy definitely "earned" 5 Stars.

Everyone we dealt with at ATMA was very professional. Emails were always returned promptly. System design and installation documents were detailed and easily understood. The one change I wanted on installation was quickly accommodated. Installation was quick, and the electrician was particularly knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the system.
