Castle Energy

Sept 2023 did a cash contract with Castle Energy for my new home . Cancelled it in Oct 2023 . Gave them $11,409 cash and to date 6/16/2024 has not been returned . In good faith I have it to them . JR Castle promised a refund in 2023 in writing several times . In 2024 we have sent certified letters , Ignored . We have a letter from them stating by May 27 Th the deposit would be returned . It’s 6/19/2024 no money . They have been excluded to use large Solar Lenders . They owe many vendors . Roofers and so many more . Do not engage with this company . I could give anyone a list of people who are in the process of legal actions based on many factors . Designs not done properly , not answering the phones and helping with service issues . When you give your word it’s your word . 9 months have passed and no refund . That’s not a man of his word . There was 17 attempts in the fall of 2023 to resolve this all documented . I also said he could pay me back monthly , no resolution or attempt to pay me back . I would have worked out anything but no response from JR Castle . He employed amazing people most who have left . I can only guess this is getting much worse . So many customers left hanging but many seeking legal action . I would have worked out any terms but ever with a note that he signed and promised to pay from months ago no payment has been made . So sad A follow up email was sent to JR Castle for payment request no response. I was made aware that he is working for a company in NJR who sell solar, and I will contact them to explain how he handles customers and as you can see by other posts here and google, he is not a person you can trust with a job or money. Especially cash. NBC 10 has been contacted also. BBB has been contacted and a formal complaint has been registered with them. He no longer has credit with anyone including lenders and has been writing checks to customers for referrals due in October that have now bounced.

Update from this morning The owner personally called me after seeing my complaints only to refuse the job that he gave me a estimate only to say that he doesn't need a reason and that he isn't looking for that type of work. Good. Let someone else take my money. Worst company I've ever worked with in my life as a customer. I'm not exaggerating, horrible company and horrible management.

Castle inspectes my roof and said it was in good shape to hold panels. A year later I found out the nailed through and its been leaking into my house in my daughters bedroom slowly. Her drywall stared to get soft. I pulled it down to see the issue, here room is FULL of black mold. The owner of Castle is still around. He sent guys that have no idea what to do. They said he would come out. He never did. The mold is making us sick. Never get solar its awful

Castle promises a good turn around time, but they have failed. Signed with them in May 2022 for a ground mount system. They wont even return phone calls. Bad business all around.
