Sun Solar does not tell everything upfront. Just enough to get you to sigh up. Every thing progressed slowly with many changes. Then came the day to finalize connection to our home. Electrician made a terrible mistake and hooked the hot wire to the neutral wire and ruined all appliances and melted wires. They admitted fault but only wanted to pay for Heating, air conditioner, washer, dryer less than half of what ruined and have us sign letter that we would not disclose this information. It has been a year and sun solar has still not paid anything. I would never recommend anyone to use this company!

This company is not forthright or truthful. Was never told about the issues one would have in selling our home. It's already been 4 months on the market, had lots of offers, but no one wants the panels and apparently no one told us we basically need permission from the company to sell it. Took them 5 months to get installed and they left our yard in a mess. They stated they were going to pay our electric bill because of the delay in our installation because they dropped the ball, and it was their fault. Was told over and over that a check was coming but never saw it. Then the story changed, and we were told it would only cover the difference if the solar panels were in commission, but still to this day have not seen any such check. Communication was horrible, don’t think the panels would be installed now if we didn’t make the phone calls we did, things they said they were taking care of. Had to bug them over and over to have an energy efficiency test done that they stated would be part of it. Way overpriced; our lease is only $30 less than the cheapest electric bill. Not once was told about very important issues in our lease and was hurried to have it signed. Sales contract total amount is $40,000 cheaper than the lease but there’s no mention of what or where the difference comes from. Will never refer solar panels to anyone.

After signing my contract for solar in April 2023, I still sit here today with no solar panels or answers. I have had 3 project managers. The first one I had never responded to me at all, and I was told she is "very busy" with all her projects. The second one really couldn't answer my questions, and then I never heard from her again. I found out I had a new/third project manager when he randomly called me one day. A few months back, I was told my project was about to be scheduled. Then I was told that all of my panels/materials were accidently taken by a crew to another project. Finally, I was told my install would be today, and then no one ever showed up. The entire process has been a joke, and for a very expensive purchase that I took very seriously, it seems like they could really care less when I get installed. Do your research an go with a different company. I can honestly say that I will being telling everyone in my area how horrible this experience was. Don't trust your time or money with this company!

Sun Solar provided good information about solar options, and did an expert job of installing quality components such as SolarEdge inverters, and URECO 400 watt panels. The process of getting a solar system is very complex: it requires approvals for system design, financing, inspections, communicating with the power company for net metering, cost rebates, etc. It would be very difficult to negotiate this complexity without a professional team to help, and Sun Solar helped us along the way very effectively and with good cheer. EnergySage also was a great source of info. It does take a long wait (in our case nearly a year) to get the project done, but that is because there has been a surge of people in our area (Missouri) who see the benefits and cost-effectiveness of a solar system. In many cases, the benefits are easy to see. But that means that the high demand and complexity of the project will require time and patience, and experts who know what they're doing. Sun Solar was honest about the time line, and I am grateful for their skill and effectiveness.

We signed up in January and finally got our panels installed in June. We were told our solar payment would be less than our utility bill and its more than double! We fell for the "sign up today and recieve a free energy analysis" yeah still waiting on that! We qualified for $25 grand back in rebates but it wants our credit card info and we will only get 18 of the 25 promised. The panels are HUGE and take the better part of our yard. We were never offered a battery storage bank. The financing company we are dealing with are complete jerks. All around a horrible experience. I would love for them to come get their panels out of my yard at this point.

Terrible company, never finished the job. Salesmen Evan was great. Trenches have been open in yard partly filled in for two weeks. Twice they did not show up and I had to call them to find out nobody is coming. They did not clean up after themselves, there were pieces of wire and steel drill outs laying all over. Not to mention the cigarette butts all over. Keys are jammed in one of our backup generators. The work crews talk more then they work. Got bent posts were panels were hung so the panels are all wavy. Supposed to have insulation blown in, in crawl space above house as part of deal. No calls or call backs on it. They truly do not care after they get pd. The funding on job was approved before job was even half done and had to get in there asses to finish the half done job. Seek a solar solution else where, this company nor its owner give a crap about customers. Employees did nothing but bad mouth company and say they were looking for better jobs. Said company treats them like crap. If we need more panels will go else where. U would think for 120k u would get good service.
