Progeneration Energy

This company has been a pain to work with. They don't stand by their work. We have had multiple issues during and after the installation. They never respond to requests to troubleshoot even though we are within the warranty period. I had to hire other contractors to fix their installation errors.

Progeneration installed a solar unit on my property in October of 2017. Payments started at that time. They did not get the system permitted until June 2019. I am having doubts as to whether the permitting ever actually took place. I have only the sales man that I was working with's word on that, I can not find the actual green tag. At the time that was my first permit and I thought that the green papers that were folded and placed behind the unit was a permit (I was told I was waiting on a green tag and saw something green, when I got with the sales guy he said yep, that is it and I took his word for it). I am currently trying to get with the city on whether or not I ever got the green tag. It is now 2020. In October 2019 (just after I was told that I had finally gotten my green tag) I got a letter from Oncor stating that the installer had incorrectly installed the unit, they ran directly into the Oncor box instead of to the main box in my garage as they were supposed to have done. Oncor shut it down. Today I am paying a loan for a unit I can not use. Installed by a company that will not respond in any way.. I have repeatedly called and sent emails. The sales person whom I had contact information for is no longer working with the company and says he can not contact them either. Progeneration Energy does not appear to be out of business. I can not find a solar company willing to correct the issues but am still looking. I am beyond unhappy with the work that this company did for me. If there was a way I could go back and not make the choice to go solar I would have. DO NOT USE Progeneration Energy!
