Resolved - - I wrote that in response to a promise from the owner that my cash would be repaid. It was not; of $18k that their lawyer told mine was "used for other projects," the owner has sent me $1,888. I'm still paying loan payments. There was a surety bond! Guess what, it was only for $9k to cover ALL the AZ residential projects. Now, I have a court case filed and am awaiting pre-court discussions to end; it's called arbitration. The Registry of Contractors has agreed the project was abandoned and is preparing to cancel license and fine owner. So, NOT RESOLVED. Do not contract with this company. And, especially, do not give them any money! My neighbors have had success with SUNRUN and SUN VALLEY. Recommend you go with either!

Based on EnergySage recommendation went with Sunbound in July 2021. After many stops and starts, including re-wiring a poor wiring job, went live in December 2021. However, was not live as 11 of my 21 inverters were not responding. After many promises to get someone out from Sunbound to address, there is now no one to contact at Sunbound. My sales rep Kevin Ives no longer returns texts and his number goes straight to busy. The company's number on my contract goes to a former sales rep's cell phone, and he indicated that he is after the company for back pay that goes back 18 months. He did furnish me with the owner's direct contacts -- which I have tried with no response. My onsite rep left the company last month to go back to his junk hauling business. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau, which has twice reached out to Sunbound with no response. I am leaving reviews wherever possible to stay away from this company, as well as another solar front company owned by the same person "Elite Solar Concepts". Same website, same address, same no way to contact -- except if you want a solar quote. They get back to you on that only. These people give solar a bad name and at least part of the reason why the industry overall has not taken off as it should.

I started this project with sunbound in july 2021. Was told about 60 days and it'll be done. Cool. Was told the roof would be inspected to make sure everything is up to code and safe for the panels before install so if I had to pay any extra, I would know then. Fast forward, there was delay after delay with the panels themselves then more. We ended up getting upgraded equipment (so we were told). Inspection came back with no issues. The install didnt happen till end of November. This was frustrating because I had to keep asking for updates. If I didn't, they didn't contact me. The set up was installed, but now we have to wait for the city to approve the install and turn it on. The city comes out, our weatherhead on the roof is not up to code because it's not tall enough. So now we can't get it turned on until we spend 3k to have someone raise this 2 feet on the roof. At this point I am very upset. This is something that should have been noticed during the inspection. Now I'm stuck with this bill, had I known I needed to pay that I would have canceled the install. The sales guy Kevin told us he had a guy that would do it for 1k, I said I would call around and ask for quotes first. His guy is the lowest priced one so we were ready to hire him. Now Kevin is MIA and there is no phone number to reach this company on any of the contracts, the rep doesn't respond to email, text, or call. Trying to find anyone or any way to contact this company is impossible. January 2022 my loan payments started coming out, for a system I still can not use. I am beyond annoyed with the lack of integrity and professionalism from this place. All I am trying to do is get ahold of the recommended electrician and this company ghosted us. So please, save yourself months of "what is going on".

This is actually the worst business experience I’ve encountered in years. We signed up in April was told by Wade the owner l, sign now so we can get the benefit of summer, it’ll take 2 months to get it up. 5 months went by. I had to threaten to canceling the contract. During this time they blamed APS and Payson City Approval the panels went up and we were told on Sept 14th it was complete and all that was needed was APS to make the connection. Then they said we needed to approve a change in panel, we did. When we follow Med up they said Payson needed to approve everything and an inspector came and said he couldn’t do anything because solar company didn’t supply paperwork. We were upset, Called Wade and he never answered or responded to my text and email. Finally, this week, we received a call from Alan and he informed us the install was not complete and that’s why the inspector couldn’t approve. It’s Oct 22, 2021, that’s 7 months and we still don’t know when we will get connected, Wade still hasn’t called. This is unimaginable, totally unprofessional. We were lied to multiple times. Don’t do business with them. Buyer Beware

Kevin Ives, my sales rep, was courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely accountable. He was prompt with his responses and insured that the installation process was painless. I found the total experience from sale to installation to be extraordinary. Highly recommend Kevin and Sunbound Solar for your solar installation!

Sunbound was fantastic throughout the entire process, kept me updated every step of the way and delivered as promised, couldnt ask for better service, happy I made the right the decision in choosing them as my company to go solar with for my house here in Jersey!
