Swell Energy

since november 2022 until now i have not received any support to have my HVAC checked. Swell incorrectly installed my solar battery and im living without a heater at home during winter season. Ryan Neagle is my point of contact and he barely communicate with me. All he keep saying is, out of office, personnel on leave, waiting for available technician. Most of the time he replies about the Operational Leader meeting but never gives a feedback but multiple excuses. he has no sense of urgency.

Our solar project with Swell was well designed and installed without problems. The communication with the team was regular and helpful from the beginning and throughout the project. I would highly recommend them for your project. Balaram

I've had solar on my roof for 15 years and my wife and I have owned Teslas, starting 9 years ago with the model S. X, 3, and Y followed. I carefully tracked solar production and measured it against house use for years, but in May 2021 I finally tied it altogether with 2 Powerwalls, the process closely administered by Swell Energy. They essentially did all the paper work and the subs they sent to my home were just perfect. Knowledgeable, transparent and helpful to to a T. The fundamental purpose to the battery install was to assure house power during a blackout--which it does, but what I was not prepared for was the beautiful integration of the Tesla car app with the Powerwalls. The graphics are filled with beautiful and technically helpful data, and the playoff of cars to solar was a terrific hint of things to come. Generally in the morning the solar first goes for house usage, and then all the excess goes to refill the batteries (they had been used during the night to power the home). Once the batteries are full, the excess goes to the grid. I can avoid those grid flow times to soak up the solar by plugging in an EV and setting the charging amps to just offset what had been going to the grid--this means less car charging at night, and avoids sending power to the grid exactly when they don't need it--mid day when California solar power swamps the grid. Of course this process is but a game--what's really to come will be to control car and house batteries in the same system, IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. My garage contains 178 kWh of battery storage--27 in the Powerwalls and 150 in the cars. The opportunity to use the car batteries in two directions (cars and house) is yet to come. Tesla, where are you?

Excellent work by the Swell Energy and Coastal Solar Teams. They did what they said they would do and were very helpful and supportive in providing a great solar and powerwall system. Very easy to work with, and I highly recommend them.

It was a year long process to obtain our Tesla backup batteries, which was managed by Swell Energy. Their staff guided and educated us every step of the way in this complex process as a Lifeline customer of PG &E. After approval for full reimbursement from PG&E was received, the installation process was professional and timely. We have nothing but praise for all the people involved from start to finish.

Swell Energy has been very easy to work with. They are experts in the rebate programs the state of California has for batteries. I worked with James Louis who was knowledgeable and prompt to respond and follow up. I had an issue with my Powerwall and instead of having to contact Tesla directly, they used their connections with Tesla to work and resolve my issue. I hear from James they also have some really solid programs available for Solar where you don't have any upfront costs and can start saving money immediately. I have referred them to family, friends and neighbors in my network, and would do it again. Thanks Swell for making this process simple and enjoyable.
