It's been a pretty horrible experience so far. The permitting phase took some time but that was expected, no complaint there. It was after the permitting was completed that the issues began.
Someone reached out to schedule a date for installation but no one showed up for the installation, nor did anyone call. We were eventually able to reschedule the installation and everything went well that time.
Roughly a week later, someone came out to inspect everything. Everything passed inspection but the inspector apparently forgot to turn the system back on before he left and it took a day and a half before we realized it and restarted the system ourselves.
Finally, it's become abundantly clear that the size of the array is inadequate for our energy needs. We've been up and running for a year now and, so far, our energy consumption is far outpacing our energy production. When we purchased the system, the salesperson assured us after reviewing our past utility bills that it would be sufficient for our energy needs. The monthly cost of the system far exceeds our what our electrical bills have been but, if it replaced said electrical bill, we felt that would acceptable. As it stands right now, however, it looks like this will be a large bill in addition to our large electric bill, rather than a replacement for it.
I have spent the last couple of months going back and forth with their customer service team to address the underperforming and underpowered system that they sold me. Their solution has been for me to buy more panels.
Now they're just not returning my phone calls or emails. This has been the worst company that I've ever had the displeasure of crossing paths with and that's not an exaggeration.

Poor after sales support
Installed in 2021, and paid for a system that would cover our electric bill and enough to cover charging 2 cars. The system has never even covered our bill let alone anything charging a car. I've had connection issues with the gateway since it was installed and it finally died a couple of months ago. After negotiating with Enphase to replace the warranty, G3 now wants $250 to install a replacement circuit board, and if they don't do it, the warranty is voided. They are very slow to return messages as well. Expect a week.
I will not do any business with G3 solar again. They hold you hostage to keep getting more and more of your money. Also if you finance it, that's done by an out of state company so they Don care because they've already been paid.

Dropped the ball at almost every step
After delivering the panels, it turns out they didnt even fit. They left solar panels at my home for months before they could finish the job. On top of this they installed cheaper inverters that couldn’t handle the output from my panels so I’m not even getting the full benefit from my system that took an extra 3 months to install. Getting them to respond was a nightmare.

Amazing & Quick Service
