From the first visit to explain the product, process and pricing (no pressure) through to the final switching on the meter, the experience was much better than I expected. There are always a glitch or two, but they went out of their way to ensure I was kept up-to-date and everything was made right. When I first saw a proposal from SmartRoof for the new GAF Timberline Solar Shingle, I thought -"Finally" a solar system I can put on my home that makes financial sense, and looks great. The install process was smooth, and the system has be performing above expectations. We got and world class roof, and a solar energy system- all at once from SmartRoof.

Bottom line is that we LOVE our new solar roof and gutters and are exceptionally happy with the quality of the products we got from SmartRoof and GAF. We have had the solar roof for about 2 years now and we see the impact on our electricity bills. On average, our electric bills have gone down by about $60/month. During the spring, summer and fall (about 8 months of the year), the bills are very low. The SmartRoof team were fast and efficient in doing the installation and did a great job cleaning up. Scheduling was a little tough because they were pretty booked up. Our only concern was that we didn’t get a detailed invoice that we could use to file for our tax credit in case the IRS decides to audit us. Other than that, we are very happy with our solar roof!

Great experience from start to finish! During the sales/consultation process, several team members helped me understand my current energy usage and how much solar energy I would need to achieve the most efficient offset based on #s and placement of panels. We worked through questions and a few iterations. Before installation, the team kept me updated on the status of permits. They communicated directly with the county on my behalf. The day before the installation, the team came out briefly and prepped for the project. The next day, they completed the installation. It was seamless and easy. I didn't find any debris or trash left by the crew which my wife and I appreciated since our four kids play outside daily. After the installation, the SmartRoof checked in with me to ensure my energy app was working and that I was satisfied with the project. The whole process was professional smooth, and non-intrusive. Appreciate all of the team members and their support in the process. Excited to have solar!!
