Upstate Alternative Energy is owned and operated by Bob Bryant and Larry Andrews. Both Bob and Larry are natives of Central New York who are committed to staying in the area and continuing to develop alternative energy solutions.

Bob Bryant

Bob has been involved in home renovations for over 20 years. He brings his practical knowledge to the job site to ensure a quality job that not only will perform, but will also be pleasing to the eye. Bob got his start in alternative energy in 2004 when he went to the University of Maryland to get certified in PV and wind power. Since then he has obtained additional certifications in solar-thermal and geothermal.

Larry Andrews

Larry is a former engineer who brings his technical eye to the job, ensuring that every job meets not only local requirements, but also the highest state and national standards. He is the company’s primary designer and is certified in PV, wind, and solar-thermal. Additionally, Larry is a fully NYSERDA-certified installer who has obtained his national NABCEP certification.
