My home already had a solar system, but I needed a battery backup that would keep my home going if Southern California Edison’s (SCE) power lines went down. Many of the companies I contacted refused to add a battery backup because I already had a solar system, but I did finally succeed in getting 3 quotes. SunPower by Precis had the best price, and their reviews were good, so contracted with them to install 2 Tesla Powerwalls (the quantity they determined I needed to keep my home going in the event of a power outage). Precis had to jump through several hoops in order to get Southern California Edison (SCE) to certify our system, including installing an additional breaker box, but they did everything without complaint. After we were up and running, SCE denied my application for Net Energy Metering (NEM) 2.0. I contacted Sunrun (the company that put in my solar panels) and was given the run around then was told they could not help. Precis, however, helped me without question. It took a while, but I ended up getting approved for NEM 2.0. I could not be more impressed by my experience with Precis, they communicated with me and answered all my questions every step of the process and went out of their way to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Solar system and/or a battery backup.

Two and a half years ago Precis installed 12 panels on my roof. Last year I had them add 6 more as we added two electric vehicles to our household. I went with Precis the first time and went back to them the second time for two main reasons. They were trustworthy and reliable. Everything that they told me about their systems and the process turned out to be accurate and 100% true. The quality of their workmanship was top notch and their staff was professional and attentive. Calls were returned in a timely manner if I couldn’t immediately reach the person directly. If you’re thinking about going solar I suggest considering them for your project.
