We based our choice of Nova West on technologically sound products, their business reputation, competitive pricing, and their responsiveness to our presales questions. We recommended Nova West to family who where also looking for a solar solution. They also chose to buy from Nova West. Without question, we would recommend Nova West again.

My husband and I enjoyed working Balkar Gill for the selection and placement of our solar array. He gave us the pluses and minuses. Balkar responded to all of our questions in a timely matter. We highly recommend Balkar and Nova West.

Nova West prepared a customized and specific design that addressed our needs/desires/preferences regarding
- type (grade versus roof installation)
- location/orientation to maximize sun exposure (ie 10 cases reflecting shading
calculations)
- solar panel selection
- inverter sizing/selection
- avoidance of cutting any concrete walkwalks/driveways
- excellent warranty on components/labor/performance
- construction team was courteous/helpful
- competitively priced

Had a good experience with everyone involved at Nova West Solar. Sales Staff were awesome as were the Installers. Had only two minor glitches on the install. The foreman became ill so the install was delayed (Sh#t Happens) and his replacement failed to connect the monitoring software so i was unable to see the production for two days. Again no big deal. The PTO took longer than expected but that was the Power Company. Anyway, the system is up a running as expected so far! Overall I am very happy with the system. Additionally, every time I had a question it was answered immediately..

In interviewing several companies, Nova West was determined to sell me what I needed, and not what I didn't. Since our install, we have had two True Up bills and each was under $50.00. Friends have all been amazed as they have True Up Bills that add up to well over $300.00-$500.00 as well as maintenance fees they were suckered into paying.

I did a fair amount of research and interviewed multiple solar contractors prior to choosing Nova West to install Panasonic panels. Having just completed installation in July we haven’t had a lot of opportunity to measure results yet, but the August PGE electricity bill looked great so the equipment seems to be delivering.
The Nova West installation, engineering, and internal staff did a wonderful job as well completing all the work very professionally and timely. The one area where I felt a lot of frustration was that communications were sorely lacking. This is a big investment and there are a lot of moving parts to the process. While there was never an issue tracking down answers and getting responses, I feel like this could have been a much more comfortable experience as a customer with a little more guidance and setting of expectations. Even after completion of the install there were a couple of weeks when we weren’t sure what was going on. Not even a “thank you”. Ironically one of the reasons I felt comfortable choosing Nova West were good reviews
of the salesperson.
All said and done though I feel comfortable that we made a good choice overall.

From the start dealing with Balkar, who was honest and transparent, through the head installer who explained everything along the way, and now with Andrew in checking up on how the system is performing the experience with NovaWest is top notch. Always felt comfortable about when and what was happening. I have recommended Balkar and NovaWest to several friends who have also gone with them.

Unlike some dealers from other companies who gave me unrealistic sales pitches, Balkar at Nova West was clear about the obstacles my property faced and what I could realistically expect from the solar set up I had in mind. I appreciate his honesty. I've decided against installing solar now, so they aren't getting my business in the short term. But when I am ready to put on a new roof in a few years, I will definitely be contacting Nova West again for a bid.

We interviewed 5 solar companies before making our decision and NovaWest was far and away our #1 choice. Balkar was well equipped to answer all of our question (and we had MANY!) with out the traditional over-kill, promise the moon sales pitch. Not to mention, they had the best pricing and warranties of anybody we spoke with. Balkar helped us make certain that solar was the right choice for us. Our system was installed a year ago and we couldn't be happier. If you are considering solar, you can't go wrong with NovaWest.

The most important thing I can say in this review is: if you want an amazing system with no-nonsense, GIVE BALKAR AT NOVAWEST A CALL (559-288-4834)!! Like most people investing a large sum of money into a solar system I had quotes from 9 different companies not counting multiple conversations at home shows. I wanted the best quality panels from a reliable company at a fair installation price with enough power to erase my electric bills during the summer with only a small true-up bill. I had a lot of cheeper options but reliability, system specs, warranty etc only left two companies that stood out: NovaWest and “the other one” (they don’t deserve a mention). And I initially chose “the other one” because their gimmicks got me. After being lied to and ignored for 4 months by the other guys I went back to Balkar at NovaWest, reviewed options and signed a contract. Within 45 days my system was on my roof and turned on making me money before summer even started. My June-August electric bill running my AC 24/7 in Clovis, $18.48! But because NovaWest put the system up in 45 days I was making money in March so I still have true-up credits. Thanks to NOVAWEST.

We built a new house back in February and wanted solar from the get-go. We invited about 5 companies to give us quotes for our small house over in Regent Park. The first 4 who gave us quotes massively over quoted us and tried to sell us more panels than would have been required for a house twice our size.

When we called Nova they took all the details and gave us options, not only of how many panels but also the quality. After assessing the situation we went with 16 higher end panels with a deal to add 2 more if we needed them for another $1500. Once we get through our first summer we will know for sure but as of right now at the end of August we are still on course for a zero bill at True-up in February.

The guys at Nova West have been fantastic to deal with in terms of questions being answered, and the installation process was quick and worry free.

From start to finish, going solar with Nova West Solar was an easy and rewarding process. They were true consultants who took the time to listen to our lifestyle needs and evaluate our energy consumption to design a system that perfectly meets our production needs. We knew exactly what to expect, and they've been professional at all stages - from sales, to design, to install, and now to ongoing monitoring. The monitoring is a big deal! We had a panel that wasn't producing at the same level as the others around it. Nova West saw that and sent a technician out to evaluate the problem. Turned out that the panel needed to be replaced, which they did immediately with no hassles. We are so impressed by their expertise and dedication to doing what is right for US! No regrets at all in going with Nova West Solar.

They did a good job. The sales man came out quickly and they drew up what we needed and completed the job in a timely manner. After the panels were installed we didn't get alot of help making sure PG&E knew that we were now using solar so we ended up getting bills for a few months after we purchased our solar panels. PG&E ended up taking care of that, but almost a year later we are glad we got solar.

I have now had my Nova West Solar panels for three years. I still get such a thrill when I receive my monthly utilities bill and it says 0!!! Yes, 0!!! I have not had a single issue with them; they function perfectly. This is one of those purchases for which I have never second-guessed myself. Thanks, Nova West Solar!

Nova West Solar is a great company for solar installation. From the beginning, the representative Ian Rock was very professional and helpful in explaining the detail of the system and answering all my question anytime and also providing valuable suggestions. The installation crew was also very professional and installed without any issues much quicker than I thought. All the processes happened with in a month. It was nice that the representative went over all the detail about system including online monitoring system with me after the installation. I appreciate his sincerity of answering question right away even after installation. My wife and I are extremely happy about our choice and we strongly recommend Nova West Solar for anyone who think about installing solar system.

Nova West was recommended to us by a friend. From our first contact with Ian to the final completion Ian and his team where and are complete professionals. Ian walked us through all of our options in great detail and even helped me understand formulas and calculations to maximize my solar purchase. Once we signed the contract Ian stayed involved with his team from design, installation, and final approval. The Nova West team was just as impressive. He provided us with a quote that included a system of top tier equipment, that will provide us with at least 100% of need based on our previous power usage as well as detailed affordable finance options. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to honestly answer our questions unlike some other company’s. The installers lead by Moses were professional, friendly and maintained a very clean worksite down to sweeping up each day. They were in constant communication with us so we knew what to expect. The install is so clean. You only see the Panels, no wires, pipes or cables. Buying from a local company was important to us and we know they will be here quickly if ever we experience an issue. The warranty they stand behind provides us with peace of mind. The entire process from quote to operational was less than 1 month. And, one of the lenders they recommended, we ended up switches Credit Unions due to their outstanding service (EECU). We are so happy we chose Nova West Inc. for our Solar purchase.

We chose nova west after meeting with multiple solar companies. They answered all of our questions and made the process easy. We placed our panels on top of a barn that we were having built and when the barn wasn’t built to specifications they worked with us and the builder. They were patient and when it was finally time to install they did it quickly. They showed us how everything worked and have always answered any questions i had immediately.
