Hi Ryan and Whole Sun team-- Just wanted to send our thanks for the solar system with Tesla batteries that you all installed. As you remember, we already had a whole house generator, but you wired it all together to provide us power in the event of even catastrophic grid issues. Well, the system worked perfectly! The batteries went into storm mode and filled from the grid, so when the grid went down in the storm, the batteries were ready to provide power. Obviously, due to the length of the outage (43+ hours), the batteries ran down, but then the generator kicked in and ran until power was restored. So, long story short, we were never without power and were able to run the AC, septic system, and all our appliances without any issues at all. Whole Sun managed our install from start to finish - from site inspection and recommendations, through the paperwork (Duke, SREC credits, etc.), to the full install and monitoring. Their communication was great, the team that did the work was very professional, and we've been thrilled with the system. We highly recommend the whole team. 4+ year update: We're nearly at our five year anniversary with the system and other than wishing we'd done it sooner, we have zero regrets. We've reached out to Whole Sun a few times (most recently to ask about adding more panels) and they've been amazingly fast and helpful, honest and fair -- they were very clear about the pros and cons of adding more panels and were definitely not interested in overselling us. We are every bit as impressed now as we were when we started the process. We strongly recommend going solar and partnering with Whole Sun to do so!

Ryan and the Whole Sun Designs team are knowledgeable, friendly, and super easy to work with. Ryan was the only installer who actually came to look at my roof before giving me a quote. When the time came to install the crew showed up with smiles on their faces and got my house solar powered quickly and efficiently. They've been super helpful post-install, even helping me out with an issue with Duke Energy almost a year later. I can't recommend them highly enough.
