OC Solar rescued us from one of the most horrible experiences we've ever had with a company. We started our journey with ECE111 Solar just before the NEM cutoff. They were horrible and after a monthslong process and ZERO completed, we almost had to sue them to return our money and cancel the project. Chris and OC Solar stepped up and took on the project. That meant, trying to get the NEM 2.0 transferred over. Which thankfully SDG&E allowed, due to our situation. OC Solar went from start to finish with such professionalism it was amazing. They stayed in contact every step of the way. Everything went exactly as it had been laid out to us. We are now permitted and up and running. We can't say enough about OC Solar. OC Solar completed my solar installation in 2023. They installed 50 410 Watt Panasonic Solar panels and 2 Tesla Powerwalls. The price was the best, they installed on my light weight tile roof and they got the whole thing done in under 60 days including my HOA approval. The installers were incredibly professional and so were all the project managers and customer service reps i dealt with. They kept me up to date with multiple updates every week. Nothing but good things to say about Orange County Solar!!! We interviewed several solar installation companies and received many proposals – but OCS stood out from the beginning! From the design of the solar panels to the thorough and thoughtful analysis of my energy needs. Based on competitive pricing and superior product we made the decision to go with OCS – and very happy we did. We were kept informed throughout the permitting process and when finally ready to do the solar install, the crew showed up on time and ready to go. The solar panel installation was clean and while the equipment certainly takes up some space they mounted everything as unobtrusively as possible and painted what they could to match the existing stucco. Any problems, issues or questions were addressed immediately and with the goal of providing the best service and the best solar system for my needs. The real test came recently when Edison shut down power for a few hours for maintenance. With the exception of a few very non-essential items shutting down I not only had full power but was still charging my batteries – even on an overcast day!!! Everything worked seamlessly. Advantage: LOCAL in OC. Recommended by word of mouth. My friends were very happy with them. Certified Panasonic installer. Sales consultant - Jeremey was great. OC Solar is extremely efficient in communicating with you - available to answer all questions by phone/text/email. Instead of relying on phone or virtual appts, the property is evaluated using satellite resources + history of electrical bills and quote is provided immediately. No unnecessary sales pitch, right to the point. Execution of work: I did not get a weekly update as explained in the beginning. However, my job was on a smaller scale and the contract began in Dec 2020 during COVID pandemic. Replies to my inquiries were prompt. Had issues with the existing type of roof tiles that required added roofing work. Again, handled well between Ashton (proj manager) & Jeremey. All the workers were professional and courteous. Result: Panels look great. My options were Panasonic vs LG panels. OC Solar certainly helped me with my decision making. My friends were happy with their post-installation service.

They were clean, efficient, courteous, professional and not only did fantastic work they were extremely knowledgeable, explaining everything I wanted to know at each phase of the installation and completed everything in a day and a half. Ask them about how they take care of your roof by using S hooks instead of drilling through your roof. At the conclusion of the project I elected to get more details about how billing works, production vs consumption, time of day, etc. Ashton's customer service team earned our trust and walked us through the somewhat confusing electric company processes and even handled all the electric company communication and documentation. We have already confidently referred two friends and neighbors knowing that our family name brand is secure with a partner like OC Solar. If you're smart you'll call this team first.
