Good Sales... Nothing after

After a lot of research determining the solar system to install in our home, we settled for a 30kW system with 80 LGNeon2-365, with Enphase microinverters, and 3 Empower 10 batteries for backup. Solar Edge was not the cheapest but competitive among the few that said that could provide such a system. After some negotiation over the contract terms, we signed the agreement on 10.05.2021 with the expectation to have the whole project completed between 120 and 180 days (according to the contract) even though we were assured that almost always they have it finalized within 120 days. After the agreement was signed we were informed that they were sending their local installer (we later learned it was a subcontract). Non satisfied with subcontracting the installation, GreenSolar handed the development of the design and vendor coordination/approval (required for full warranty) to the same contractor. Any time we reached out to the "project manager" for status updates, timelines, we received a response that he needed to check with the installer and once even gave us the installer number to handle directly with their subcontractor. After over 100 days without even a plan having been completed for submission to the township or our utility company, as required in the contract, we notified the company of their contractual breach regarding their "time is of the essence" clause. To our dismay, instead of offering an apology or a plan for resolution, we received an unprofessional response completely avoiding responsibility. Later that day the company Legal Counsel offered to terminate the agreement and provide a full refund. Long story short, we accepted the offer and are yet to receive our downpayment refunded. Would not work or recommend the company to anyone!!!

Good Experience Overall.

I filled some form online, I got called back by Itai- one of their salespeople. He asked me some questions, he was really nice and we connected well. After taking a look at our bill, they came back with a proposal. Itai was really informative and pointed out things I would never think about (certain aspects in warranties for instance, places of manufacturing, even market share of competition). The price was good , and did not change after we signed. (Which was very likely when working with contractors). Their Project manager was in constant touch with us , kept us in the loop of what's happening. Within a month and a half we were up and running. The panels look good, my roof is fine (thank god. I was really worried about it), our system is working well (I can see it on my phone!). We saved money right off the bat, and there were no funky business or grey areas. We referred our friends to Itai with Green Solar, they are almost done with their installation and we are getting a referral check for $1000 . Overall good experience. 5 stars

ENTIRELY UNPROFESSIONAL

SCAM ARTIST! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! We inquired about a solar and roof repair with this company. They came out, gave us a quote of $3000 to repair the roof, and another wrote of nearly $30K to do solar. We wanted to start with the roof repair first and then do the solar. Thank god we did, because this company turned out to be entirely unprofessional and scammed us out of $5000. We are now filing a law suit against them. The originally quoted $3000 for the leak repair became $5000 a week later, when they found “more issues” in connection with our roof. That alone should have been a red flag. In any event, they offered a 20 year warranty on the roof and we felt good about going ahead with the repair. They repaired the roof leak and not even ONE WEEK later the roof leaked AGAIN. Our contractor who look at their work while they were doing repairs told them that the way they are fixing the roof won’t hold. They ignored him. We called them and said to make sure the work is done properly. They said, our contractor doesn’t know what he is talking about. And, if indeed there was an issue the warranty would hold and they would come out to fix it. So, we thought it’s a non – issue given the warranty. The warranty was worth nothing as it turned out because they refused to come out to fix their mistake, when we called them to fix the leak. They reasoning was “the leak must come from somewhere else”. When we showed them pictures showing the roof was leaking at the EXACT SAME SPOT they “repaired” they yelled at us saying “you don’t know what you are talking about” and hung up on us. They didn’t even take an inkling of responsibility for the fact the service we paid for (repairing a roof leak) was not performed and their warranty was not exercised. We are now forced to hire another roof company to do the work AGAIN. Needless to say we will file a law suit against this company for damages they caused plus a loss of rental income, because our tenants can’t live in the home due to the leaking roof. Thank God we used them on a smaller job first, before giving them a $30K job. People like this are repulsive and its truly upsetting having to deal with such a profound lack of professionalism. This company has lot's of bad reviews online ( I wish I would have researched them better), which I am finding now, as I am placing reviews about their practices everywhere. This way potential future customers do not fall into the same trap I did. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU CAN’T TRUST A WORD THEY SAY! THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST.
