One of the most stressful things is finding a great service provider for an expensive product for your house. We have been very lucky to find Homegrown Energy Solutions, run by Ben Neuman. For me, I value customer service and Ben provides this through the entire process. No frills quote, total price, everything broken down in written form. Details on California Rebates and Incentives were provided, and the contract and invoice were created in such a way to make any paperwork easy. There have been literally no surprises through the entire process. Even when I had to delay the installation for a few weeks, everything was re-scheduled perfectly. I received full details, product sheets, explanations of the solar panels, inverters, energy savings - even a spreadsheet showing savings over time. We had a new Main Service Panel installed and Ben took care of the quote, scheduling and install. The solar panels are from REC Group, with Enphase inverters. All products are highly reviewed and warrantied. The install team were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I had a total of 21 panels installed in two arrays. This was completed in 1 full day. No external cables, piping etc - they took the time to run all cables through the attic space. They even touched up paint work. The end result is excellent, two solar arrays, clean lines, matched to the shape of the roof. The Enphase app is up and running on my android and iphones. Ben was very easy to work with from the beginning. He was very communicative throughout the process. He answered all of my questions both during the in person inspection, during installation, and since then. It has been over two year and we have been very happy. There haven’t been any issues and loving our solar. We have excellent output. Also, Homegrown prices are very competitive and was lower than most large and small independent solar companies.

HomeGrown Energy Solutions has been amazing to work with! Someone was always available for questions during and after install. The installation itself was fast, everything was clean and neat after, and they checked to make sure SDG&E had followed through. 6 years later they still answer the phone when you call in and take time to go over questions in detail.
