About Spring Solar

Overview

Spring Solar is a Utah installer focused on getting system size right before selling more hardware. We start with actual electricity use, identify your utility and rate structure, then design around how your solar is actually valued, not around a generic "100% offset" target.

Sam started Spring after shopping for his own system and seeing quotes that did not add up for Utah. Since 2016 we have installed across the state with a design approach built around real utility rules, not a generic national template. We control how the system is installed and stand behind the work. We use Tier-1 equipment with manufacturer warranties on panels and inverters (typically 25 years), a 25-year workmanship warranty covering defects in our workmanship, and a 5-year production guarantee. We will tell you when fewer panels beat a bigger array.

We manage each installation from start to finish using our own crews and long‑term overflow crews when needed. All work is supervised by Spring Solar and covered by our workmanship warranty, so you always get consistent quality and accountability.

Work with Ian Bakker at Spring Solar!

Someone from Spring Solar initially knocked on my door and I was curious about solar at the time and listened to their pitch. It was well over $4/Watt and in my opinion, didn't make any financial sense so I kept looking. Through an energy sage search, I was put into contact with Ian Bakker from Spring Solar who gave the best quote closer to $2/Watt. His communication style was direct and took responsibility of the project and any issues from beginning to end (even if it may not have needed to). He is the only reason we have solar and I recommend seeking him out or at the very least do not entertain any offers from people going around knocking on doors as they are looking for big commissions.

Very happy with Chris at Spring Solar

I’ve talked to a lot of solar companies and receive a number of quotes. Spring Solar was the best price for the same or better equipment. I was worried there were no reviews here, but they have like 40 5 star reviews if you search on google for them. Ask for Chris. These guys are as honest as they come and won’t BS you or use high pressure sales tactics like everyone else. They made sure solar was right for us and another family member. No problem recommending them to my friends and family. They stand behind their product. With a complicated system like solar there are often small issues and they help fix them even though they were not their fault. Thanks Chris.

Full service at a fraction of the cost

We have shopped for solar for years and Spring Solar has the best prices by far. We dealt with Chris through the entire process. He was very knowledgeable, made sure there were no delays in scheduling installation once the panels were delivered, and never passed us off to anyone else.
