Direct Solar

Direct Solar provided a quality installation at a very good price. They installed 37 panels and 2 storage batteries at my house. Installation took 2 days, with all work neatly done and the site cleaned up each day. The only issue I had was with the changing requirements of my utility, NV Energy. They kept changing their requirements for the installation, requiring multiple sets of design plans, extra review time, and a delay of 4 months before my system could go live and connect to the grid. During this time, Direct Solar communicated well with me and shared my frustration with the utility. Their technicians made multiple trips to the house to meet the utility's requirements. The only issue I had with Direct Solar was they wanted 100% payment after installation was complete, even though the system was not live. I paid them 50% down, 25% after installation was complete, and 25% after the system went live.

The system was installed in only one day! Was installed per the agreed to plans. Although not the lowest bidder for my project, I choose them because of their design for the system. I particularly liked that the design incorporated an Inverter for each solar panel, so there would not be a single point failure to stop the system from operating. I hope the system performs as well as they did for the installation.

Energy Sage connected with me with Direct Solar and two competitors. I reviewed the three quotes and contacted two contractors, it quickly became clear that Direct Solar was a better fit for my needs. We finalized the configuration including the use of REC's low temperature coefficient panels (which I learned about on Energy Sage) which makes sense for my desert location. I signed the contract, Direct Solar promptly sent out a site review crew and started the Nevada Energy paperwork. The panels were installed and I started benefiting from solar power generations shortly thereafter.

I feel satisfied and confident with all the work they have been doing! I definitely recommend them!
