With such a big investment in our home and our families future, I soon felt comfortable with Groundhog Solar helping me make such a big decision. When we met with Richard as our Project Engineer, we were convinced the decision we made was the best for us. He answered all of or questions and made us feel like we were the only customer he was working with and always just a phone call away, when needed. It was refreshing to feel like there was not a “High Pressure Sales Pitch” or a secret agenda. It was a pleasure having Richard discuss our needs and desire to be a little more financially independent and environmentally friendly for our future. Both Richard and the installation crew was top notch.

Purchased my solar electric system from Groundhog Solar. Very professional installation done in the time frame promised. Great company to deal with.

Richard was very knowledgeable and answered questions promptly. Solar Production is on target for what he had originally stated. He is also a man of his word. There was a slight shading problem that Richard noted after panels were installed and Richard had the crew come back and move the panels to prevent this. This is not something we would have noticed, but we appreciated that he corrected it.

Richard and his crew were great and would highly recommend Groundhog. They were highly respectful, efficient, personable, and informative. They also went beyond expectations with problem solving and leaving our property better than they found it after installing our ground array. Thanks!

In 2019 we added a large home solar panel system, and every aspect went smoothly: preparation of the proposal, installation of the panels, connections with West Penn Power, and operations. Richard and his crew are top-notch professionals. I felt very comfortable that all my questions were answered (and are still being answered) before and during the installation. The crew that installed the panels did a great job, from the complex bending of the tubing that held the electrical wiring to the installation of the panels themselves. They also monitored the panels after installation and replaced one that wasn't working. They left a clean worksite, too! I can't say enough good things about them. Happy client.

Richard and his crew were wonderful ! They were patient with me and my schedule because I had a new roof put on prior to my solar installation. The crew then successfully installed my solar panels prior to the end of the year so that I could take advantage of the 30% tax credit for 2019. The crew members were friendly and efficient. Richard responded to questions in a timely manner. Initially, one of the panels was not working, but the crew was able to get it working within 2 weeks of going live. I was totally satisfied with Groundhog solar and would highly recommend them to anyone. My panels are working extremely well. My electric bill has steadily decreased since installation and I did not have to pay for electricity in March, only the required minimum charge of $11.

Richard and his team at Groundhog Solar were top notch from beginning to end. They installed 48 panels on our house. Richard has a deep knowledge of every aspect of solar energy, and he was incredibly informative and helpful throughout. His workers were also professional and conscientious. Highly competent and knowledgeable about products and local utilities and regulations, helped with HOA permission. Flexible and accommodating, they worked around my work schedule and were careful about where to set up equipment on property, always communicating. Finished installation looks exactly as planned and works great. Couldn't recommend more highly.

As a government agency, we struggled for several years to find grant funding and political will to embark upon our solar project. Groundhog had faith we'd work things out on our end and hung in as we worked through those challenges. Once we worked it all out, they did nearly all the grunt work, not just with the actual installation, but with burdensome permitting and utility paperwork. Our only complaint was with the utility that took an unreasonably long time to complete our inspection, but that was no fault of Groundhog. We can't say enough good things about the project and their hard work to make it a reality.
