About Ampion

We envision a world where every customer can participate in the renewable energy revolution. Shared, sustainable energy assets are the key to this vision, where healthy, inexpensive power changes the world in which we live. This is a different kind of energy than we're used to, one that promises huge potential for our society.

Community Solar

Ampion is a non-responsive company. I spent houirs of my time on the phone and on email trying to enroll in community solar. After spending weeks trying to get enrolled, I was informed that my application was denied because of "community choice aggregation." In plain English, this means that my local community has a program in which they use a third party to get clean energy. Evidently, you cannot be part of such a program and get community solar. I was told that if I withdrew from the local program, Ampion would "reevaluate" my application. I don't know what "reevaluate" means. At this stage, there is no way in hell that I would ever do business with Ampion again. There is one other point I would like to bring up. The Ampion salesman told me that I would save around $500 on my annual electric bill. Everything I have read on the internet indicates that the typical savings are around 10%. Assuming an annual electric bill of $2,000, that would mean a savings of $200, not $500. Ampion uses misleading information.

Great opportunity to get on Solar NOW with no investment no contract

I found this company to be a great opportunity to work with our church. We were able to convert to all the benefits of using local solar electric energy (good for the planet) and save 10% of the credits on our RG&E bill in Rochester. We signed up under Rochester Area Interfaith Climate Action and received a 1-time incentive when the church signed up and a $50 incentive for each account that we referred - and they all get the same 10% savings
