Saguaro Solar Electric

This company did an awesome job of keeping me informed every step of the way. Got it installed in one day and the electric company was out in a week to verify and put it the meter.

Saguaro solar finished our solar installation today. The process has been very easy. They gave me a very competitive quote. The same company prepared my roof prior to solar, putting new sheeting under my tiles. In the meanwhile, they took care of all necessary permits and once the roofing was done the installers showed up and they did an awesome job. My electric panel is at the opposite site from my garage where the inverters are installed and the wiring needed to go via the attic, which proved very difficult. The install team did an awesome job and got it done very professionally! They were very respectful to our property. I would recommend Saguaro Solar to my friends and family anytime. First off I'll note that I'm happy to have gone solar, but I had a rather poor experience with Saguaro solar. They got off on the right foot with a strong quote and site inspection but really faltered after that with poor responsiveness and much longer time frames between what was claimed and what was realized. One of the most frustrating elements was that when I'd call they often wouldn't have an answer available and would promise a call-back - but the call-back rarely came. Things got worse when installation rolled around as the initial installation was incomplete but they didn't seem to realize this and so the project just sat for over 3 weeks. When we were forced to follow-up with them it took many visits for them to complete the install in part because they had initially attempted to connect the system to a portion of our electric panel that could never have supported it. The low point was one evening when we actually ended up without heating in our home because their installers had disconnected our HVAC without realizing it. They resolved it the next day, but only by totally undoing the previous day's work. We have finally been able to get the system activated but from signing until activation took over 6 months. (We were initially promised about 3, maybe 4 at the most.) The one positive I see is that I do believe the product to be of reasonably high quality, though even there I'd say Saguaro missed some important details. We were sold a 6.4kW system that actually maxes out at 4.8kW due to inverter limitations. This was not clearly disclosed in the initial configuration and definitely a bit disappointing. I'm sure I'll get another solar system on a future home, but I'm absolutely certain it won't be from Saguaro.

Unlike some solar companies in Tucson, AZ, Saguaro Solar - in particular, Mike the Solar Guy, did a great job putting in our solar system, explaining the process, getting together our loan, and being available whenever I called him (which was many times - often on weekends).

I had a solar system installed and it was turned on for the first time last week. On the second day one of the inverters did not come out of standby. I contacted maintenance and a team was sent out to investigate. The issue was diagnosed and repairs were made on the spot. After the repairs the out put of the system almost doubled. Everyone involved was friendly and professional.

Hubby and I were impressed with the speed of installation and hookup! The installers left no mess for us to clean up and were all friendly and respectful! We highly recommend this company
