Nationwide Sun

I am very happy with Nation wide. I was exploring various vendors and they were quick to respond. They elucidated me the steps in the entire process. They gave the best pricing as well. Once I was in contract, they updated me on every step. They did good job in installation, aiming for better exposure to Sun. They made sure the city inspection smooth. Overall another happy customer.

From the Owner of the company to the installers to the schedulers, Nationwide is hands down the best vendor I've ever used. They even sat around in their cars on the street waiting for PGE inspectors to come for PTO to ensure there were no issues...packing a brown bag lunch knowing they could be there for hours. This sounds like a trivial "impressed moment" but that is the level of detail that Frank and his team spend time on. The best part is they don't sub out any work, so they OWN everything they do and stand behind it. I have 20 other examples of little things that would have gone wrong with another outfit, but Nationwide makes EVERYTHING easy and reliable. We had them do other things outside of just solar installation and they always do right by us, from quality to pricing. No need to consider ANYONE else.

I chose Nationwide Sun after comparing several contractors with the help of energysage. I wanted a company that was local and experienced. They were not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. Everyone I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable, from the design team to the installers. I am happy with our decision to let Nationwide Sun handle our installation and delighted with our utility bill.

Great people to work with

I hesitated before finally submitting my December 2022 PG&E bill to Energy Sage to elicit bids from solar installers. My husband and I were experiencing an inexplicable doubling of our energy usage and going solar was a last resort solution. Then, overnight, bids started coming in. Three promised to cover 100% of our needs. It was only on closer examination that I realized that would require 35 panels and and the removal of our 50-year-old Chinese Elm. Two others took a bit longer but had clearly spent time considering our situation: only one suitable site, a south-facing garage roof. Both provided schematic layouts. Both promised to cover only 46-48% of our needs. One of these two companies was Nationwide Sun, a local company owned and run by engineers. Follow-up consultations, during which we provided them with a summary of our energy usage over four years, and the discovery that our elevated electric usage was the result of a sub-slab leak of electrically-heated hot water led Nationwide Sun to promise 129% coverage with 18 panels. The hot water lines have been repaired, our electricity needs are more than covered by our solar array, Nationwide Sun has proven more than worthy, Energy Sage was the matchmaker!
