Awesome experience

We have an old house with an old roof. Critical Mass helped us replace the roof and make sure it was structurally sound. The design of the system went very smoothly- we have just what we were hoping for. From beginning through final inspection Critical Mass has been outstanding.

No regrets

When I decided to go with solar I searched for different companies and the one I liked was Critical Mass Solar. They were friendly reasonable for the price and the employees were a very respectful of my property. Any questions that I had they answered right away. I highly recommend this company.

Happy customer

We are very happy that we chose critical mass solar and Freddy was great to work with. He was very responsive to our questions and no pressure for us to sign a contract. His crew did a very clean looking install and best of all we have a zero electric bill so far each month!

Service beyond expectations

My husband and I decided that to afford to retire in our home that it made 100 percent sense to install solar. After meeting with three companies we decided to go with Critical Mass Solar. Freddy spoke of his team so highly. He has a team of workers that worked together flawlessly. once we chose to go with him he submitted the paperwork and we had Unitil out in 3 days checking the meter and approval was within 12 days. The ground was sited, frame assembled, electrician and finally the panels. When Unitil was informed it was ready for the switch for net metering that too was done in a weeks time. There is no question that Freddy takes pride in his company and makes sure that they all work together as a cohesive team.

Honest local company

I contacted Critical Mass Solar in December after talking to a couple other contractors. We had a very atypical job involving several disjoint roof planes and an outbuilding, and we also had to work within aesthetic restrictions due to being in a Historic district. Mike got back to me right away and got started on the design. He performed a site visit within a week after my initial inquiry, took some drone pictures and sat down with me to discuss various options and a few days later we settled on a design. He was not pushy at all and waited while we brought the plan for approval by the historic district commission. When it came to the installation, the crew worked efficiently but did not rush, paid attention to aesthetic details and I could tell the work was done to a high standard. The install took just over a week what with the complexity of the job, some rain, plus the 200 amp service upgrade that we tacked on. Unfortunately I had to take off a star on quality because they made a mistake measuring one of our roofs. Or I guess the aerial imagery software which they put a lot of trust in, reported a wrong measurement. Either way this meant that only 10 panels would fit in an area where we had planned for 14! The installers were able to re-locate 2 of the panels to another roof section and we ended up returning the last 2 panels. They did refund the price for the unused panels and I am really not upset with the outcome, but I hope they have learned to pull out a tape measure when doing site visits in the future! Finally, one other thing I was really happy about is that they did not request payment until after we were connected. They continued to work with us and the utility company right up until we got our net meter installed, which was just over a week after passing the final town inspection. Now we are up and cranking out the kWh's! Everyone in the operation was nothing but friendly and courteous throughout the whole experience.

Great team, great experience

Installation recently finished on our new solar panel system from Critical Mass Solar. The process was seamless from first contact to turning on the system. The entire process took a matter of weeks with the Critical Mass Solar team reaching out regularly to keep us alert of the progress. The installation was completed in a timely manner and the team was able to provide informative answers to any of our questions. The team has also stayed in contact after the installation to help understand the solar tracking app. I highly recommend Critical Mass Solar to anyone looking to lower the electricity bill.
