North Coast Solar was established in 2019 out of the need for solar to be done right here in Michigan. Our term of endearment or nickname for our beautiful state is the "NorthCoast." We offer real savings and small-town service. We are making solar affordable and redefining the reputation of the industry with transparency about utility buy backs, shade ratings, production expectations and how the tax credit really works. Our team is dedicated to providing the truth about solar and what it can do for each individual property and its owner. We work tirelessly to "do solar right" and perfect the process in a way that keeps costs down and quality high. We have just lowered our prices passing our efficiency and savings down to our customers. We are in the fight with you against rising energy costs and climate concerns for the long haul. North Coast Solar is an all "in house" install team. We do not subcontract. All of our installers are electricians. Our master electrician and two journey men have over 35 years of combined experience in the solar field. They have installed solar all over the world and now focus on our Michigan friends and neighbors. Our apprentices are enrolled in MSU online classes as they work under the more experienced members of the team. We believe in giving our team the opportunity to excel at their skill and in developing our younger team members into leaders. North Coast is where electricians come to thrive in the solar field.

Workmanship Warranty

25-year manufacture warranties on all the equipment we use. These apply to production, workmanship and labor. North Coast provides a 10-year labor/workmanship warranty on anything we touch with regards to the roof and electrical.

Great team to work with

I had a great experience working with Jimmy and the rest of the North Coast team! They were passionate for their work, they were up front with what would work well for my needs, and helped me take care of several other electrical upgrades I wanted to take care of!

Solar consultation

North Coast Solar came to my home with awesome energy, prepared and willing to answer all of my questions. These guys have a team all in house with no subcontracting and for me that was huge. My wife was unfortunately not home to make a decision with me and they did not press me to buy right NOW, actually he offered to come back out next week when both my wife and I will be home. We will see them next week. Class act company

Great team to work with

From the office staff to the install team, everyone I encountered within North Coast was amazing! Always ready with information, they made the process of going solar so much easier. Thanks again, expect a call when I'm ready for more panels!

Fixed My Broken System

I have had solar for 4 years and it never worked, I had multiple companies come out and try to fix it to no end... North Coast came out and told me how to contact the energy company and what to say and my system was operating 48 hours later! Thank you, Eric and the rest of the team for helping diagnose my issues and getting me running! 6 months no problems!

Saved me Thousands

I was shopping around for solar for a while and had a recent quote that almost seemed too good to be true. Luckily, North Coast came in and showed me where the other company had misled me. North Coast Solar was 12k cheaper than the other quote and was much more informed on the way Michigan does things. Thank you for saving me tons of money, and a beautiful system!

Smooth Process

It was nice to deal with a company that helped me make the right decision even if it wasn't in their best interest. I wanted a 32-panel system and they recommended an 18 and that's what we went with. Clearing up some of the misconceptions from other solar companies seemed like their main goal, Thank you Chris for all of your help!
