Green Rack Solar

I got panels put on a year ago and contacted them after about two panels that were not straight. Everyone that sees my house ask why is the one panel sticking up. It is an eye sore and would not recommend them how feeling like once they got their money they didn’t care.

As of Apr 1, 2025 my solar system is up and running. All completed in a very professional manner by the Green Rack Solar team from Columbus, Ohio. After all of my research and discussions with multiple installers I decided to go with the Green Rack Solar company. When comparing cost, equipment, and support I decided Green Rack Solar provided the best value. I started my research by submitting information on the EnergySage website. That site resulted in 7 quotes from different solar companies. I narrowed that list down to three companies and then contacted each POC by phone. All reps were knowledgeable and very helpful answering my questions about solar. From that point I picked Green Rack Solar. I worked a lot with Scott McKinstry. We discussed different hardware, system size, pros and cons of different mounting locations and details about warranties and support. When Scott couldn’t answer my questions someone else from within the company either called or responded by email to address my question. At some point I feel like I talked to everyone in the company. A site visit was completed where multiple pictures were taken and my questions related to the system design were answered. Next, a contract was signed on the Feb 1, 2025. Around the same time, I started working with Joseph Foster. Joseph kept me updated on the different paperwork parts of the electric company’s approval process. All in all, the process was quicker than I expected. Once everything was approved an installation date was coordinated. The installers showed up on time and worked to complete different parts of the install. The install team explained things as they went and photographed every aspect of the install. Panels were not installed due to windy conditions but they rescheduled a second visit and quickly completed the install. My electric company updated my meter and issued the Authority to Operate soon after the install. I received instructions to energize the system. Breakers were turned on, a monitoring app was downloaded, account information was provided and I was able to see various aspects of the system and the electricity it was generating. I would recommend Green Rack Solar to anyone interested in having a system installed. If you are just starting to research a solar system for yourself or if you are ready to pick a company now, I would definitely recommend reaching out to Green Rack Solar.

This has been our 4th solar system installed. But this is the 1st time we used Green Rack Solar (our other systems were in California). We had this system installed this past fall on our new home in PA. Green Rack Solar and Scott McKinstry Josh & Mary were all great to deal with. They even suggested a roofer before our system was installed who turned out to be great as well. I would highly recommend them!

I received multiple quotes from EnergySage, but ultimately decided on Green Rack for my installers. They had solid reviews and after reviewing the solar components they were offering, I felt they would be a solid pick. We had the system installed and Green Rack did an excellent job throughout the whole process. We worked with Scott and Nicole for the sales part of the process. They were on top of all communications and answered any questions I had leading up to the install. The only hiccup seemed to come from our electric company. Nicole was persistent and we eventually got the approval from the electric company after they seemed to drag their feet, pushing back our install. The install was done by Zach and his crew. They arrived promptly and were quick to get to work. Any questions I had during the install were answered, even my more random hypothetical questions. The array that we decided on focused on function while also provided an excellent nice aesthetic to the arrangement. The conduit was neatly ran and minimal holes were needed in my roof. Our install was completed in a little over 4 hours and Mike gave me a rundown on the various breakers and what steps I need to take after the interconnection is completed by the electric company. 17 panels installed in August 2023. Production and performance are as planned. Commercial and installation teams were very professional and friendly. No problem so far.
