Viridis Energy Solutions

Massachusetts’ Elite+ Local Solar Installer — Hand-Designed Systems, Not AI Quotes.
Every Viridis system is engineered in-house using advanced LIDAR shade analysis and Aurora modeling for real-world production accuracy — not auto-generated estimates.

We are a locally owned Massachusetts company with over a decade of experience installing high-performance solar systems across the Commonwealth. Our team understands MA fire code setbacks, utility interconnection requirements with Eversource, National Grid, and Unitil, and the details of the SMART 3.0 20-year incentive program.

Unlike many quotes on EnergySage, we don’t rely on automated software to push out fast proposals. We take the time to carefully design your system based on your roof geometry, shading conditions, and long-term energy goals.

We specialize in premium panel and microinverter technology, advanced battery storage solutions, and clean installations that are built to perform for decades.

Our process starts with a zero-pressure virtual consultation where we share our screen, walk you through your 3D roof model, review shading together, and fine-tune the layout live. It’s collaborative, transparent, and educational.

We’re not here to pressure you.
We’re here to design it right — and stand behind it long after installation.

About Viridis Energy Solutions

Viridis Energy is a locally owned Massachusetts solar company built on precision, transparency, and long-term accountability. We don’t believe in rushed, auto-generated proposals or high-pressure sales tactics. Every system we design is carefully modeled in-house using advanced LIDAR-based shade analysis and real-world production data to ensure accuracy and performance.

We’ve installed thousands of systems across the Commonwealth and have built our reputation by doing things the right way — from design and permitting to installation and long-term service. Our team understands Massachusetts fire code setbacks, utility interconnection requirements, and the evolving SMART 3.0 20-year incentive program.

Unlike many out-of-state sales organizations, we are headquartered in Massachusetts and committed to being here for decades to come. Solar is a 25+ year investment — your installer should be just as long-term.

Our design process is collaborative and educational. We start with a zero-pressure virtual consultation where we share our screen, review your 3D roof model, analyze shading together, and fine-tune your layout live. We want you to understand exactly how your system works and why it’s designed the way it is.

At Viridis Energy, we don’t chase the lowest price — we focus on long-term performance, clean installations, and systems built to last.

Viridis Energy - The best decision we could have made!

From the very first conversation, Viridis Energy set themselves apart from every other solar company we spoke with. Jeromy took the time to truly understand our home, our energy usage, and our goals — not just pitch us a system. The attention was personal, patient, and thorough from day one. When the quotes came in, Viridis was one of the lowest — but what impressed us most was the clarity. No hidden fees, no confusing add-ons, no surprises at any stage of the process. What they quoted is exactly what we paid. In a world where that kind of transparency is rare, it meant everything. What really sealed it was their system design. We spoke with multiple companies, and Viridis was the only one that truly maximized our roof. They looked at both roof faces, understood the angles, and designed a 23-panel layout that outperformed every competitor’s proposal — more production, better hardware, and smarter placement. The IQ8X micro-inverters they specified were a cut above what others were recommending, and the results prove it. We went live just days ago and already hit a peak of 8.4 kW on March 29th — producing 52 kWh in a single day in late March in New England. On day four of operation. That’s not luck — that’s exceptional system design. The installation was clean, professional, and on schedule. The permitting and PTO process was handled entirely by their team. Every time we had a question — and we had many — someone from Viridis was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we understood exactly what was happening and why. If you’re considering solar in the Greater Boston area, stop shopping and call Viridis. They are the real deal — a local company that combines competitive pricing, technical expertise, and the kind of personal attention that makes a complex process feel completely manageable. We couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Exceptional from the Start

I met with Mike and Jereme at Viridis Energy and they were honestly very different from the other solar companies I met with. From the beginning, it didn’t feel like a sales pitch. They actually took the time to walk me through everything and explain how it all works in a way that made sense. I never felt rushed or pushed into anything, which I really appreciated. It felt more like they wanted me to understand the process and make the right decision, not just sign a contract. They were also really on top of things - my site survey got scheduled right away, and the guy who came out was super polite and easy to talk to. Overall, the whole experience has been smooth and stress-free. If you haven’t talked to Mike or Jereme yet, I’d definitely recommend reaching out. You can tell pretty quickly they approach things differently than most companies.

Poor Communication - Would not work with Viridis again

While I’m happy with the actual solar panels that I have and with the system as a whole, I will not work Viridis again when it comes time to expand the system with more panels. By far my biggest complaint was with communication. It was nearly impossible to get someone on the phone, to the point where I called several days in a row and left a message with every single person on the phone tree. Any responses I did eventually get were short and basic. I ended up being more of a project manager than I should have been. I needed to contact my city permitting to straighten out when inspection could occur, I had to realize that the consumption CT leads were installed incorrectly leading to invalid energy readings in the Enphase app, and I had to reach out to Viridis to turn the system on once National Grid gave permission to operate. It felt like I was constantly chasing Viridis instead of being proactively updated. There were also some inconsistencies between the timelines that Viridis gave me about inspection requests and when the City said they kicked off the process. The actual installation seems to been done well, but I was not happy with how the crew left my property. An entire bag of zip ties was left in my gutter, blocking water flow and causing my gutter to overflow. A handful of very large screws was left in my lawn and on my steps. During the install panels were dragged up a ladder face-first with just a plastic sheet/garbage bag to protect them. To top it off, I shared this feedback with Viridis and was completely ignored. If you’re looking to install solar panels, you’re investing a significant amount of money (especially now that the tax credit is no longer available). For that type of cash, you should expect consistent communication, proactive project management, and attention to detail throughout the entire process. I did not get that with Viridis and I cannot recommend them.

Smooth, High Quality, Cost-effective

At every step of the process it was clear Viridis has been doing this for a long time. Communication through their portal was excellent, with lots of info about exactly what the next steps were. When there was a global panel shortage, they were clear about what the replacement panels would be, and gave us a discount.

Both me and my friend have had amazing experiences

I decided to go with Viridis Energy after a close friend of mine had solar installed by them and couldn’t say enough good things about the experience. I actually stopped by on their installation day and was really impressed by how friendly, professional and organized the crew was. That’s what first sold me. After I met with sales, I was even more impressed by the wealth of knowledge these guys have. Never at any time did I feel like I was in a sales pitch. It was all about educating me so that I could make the best decision that was right for me. There was zero pressure. Mike and Jereme were an absolute pleasure to deal with! Solar still makes a lot of sense for us even without the tax credit. (we added heat pumps this year) The new smart 3.0 incentive definitely helps. Now that I’ve signed up myself, I can say the process has been just as smooth as my friend described. The team has made everything simple and completely painless — great communication, clear explanations, and no pressure. I’m really glad I chose Viridis Energy thus far. Looking forward to my solar install in early 2026!
