Superior Solar Design

We contacted Superior years ago and after the initial proposals it didn't make a lot of sense for us based on the cost vs our cash flow and the offset it would have. We are limited in a Philly rowhouse with a flat roof. But we stayed in touch. After a few financial changes on our end and the rising cost of electricity, plus some gov incentives it made a lot more sense. Drew was helpful in designing a system for our current situation and with an inverter big enough if we decide to add capacity on a second building we have in back. The installers were very nice, professional and courteous with our time. I would recommend them.

That might not sound that great but these days, it's few and far between when you have an experience that qualifies. Drew and his team set the right expectations, were extremely realistic and honest with us from start to finish, and actually communicated. Dates that were set were honored and we were never left questioning what the next thing would be. Our experience exceeded our expectations and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We highly recommend Superior Solar Design as our experience was very positive. Their communication and explanation of services, estimates and timeline was thorough and accurate. In three months we noticed the savings just as projection. We are grateful for the referral we received to work with Doug, Drew and their team.

From the beginning to end of the project, Solar Design was top notch. Everything was explained in detail and transpired exactly as described. Electric bill is already down to $10.00 for the month of July. A great, reliable company. I highly recommend.

In February 2023, I began shopping for a provider for a rooftop solar installation. Although Superior Solar had been highly recommended to me from a nearby neighbor, I did my due diligence and contact at least eight other solar providers for their solar design and estimates. First - the upshot is that I chose Superior Solar, and am very happy that I did. If my best friend were to ask about who to choose for a solar provider, I'd point her at Superior Solar. Heck, I'd even point my manager at work at Superior Solar. That's how confident I feel about their services. So - my story: After comparing a number of solar designs and estimates - which varied more than I expected - in the end, it was Drew at Superior Solar who worked with me to find the best design that would work within my budget. At least half of the OTHER solar providers just wanted me to get as many panels as my roof could fit, whether or not it made sense to put the panels there or not. It's important to me that I get a good return on my investment, not just shoving panels up on the roof just to have them. Drew at Superior Solar worked with me to determine the optimum number and placement of panels within my total budget. In addition, to get the best results from the solar panels, I needed a couple of trees trimmed and four trees removed. Two of those trees were EXTREMELY large. While Superior Solar does NOT do tree work, they were good enough to suggest a few tree companies and included the tree work in the total project cost. Superior Solar worked with the tree company to ensure that schedules were aligned properly. Since I knew I would need to borrow the majority of the cost of the project to actually get it done, Drew pointed me to a non-profit solar lender. That lender had a very low rate accidentally displayed on their website, which I applied for. When the lender attempted to modify the rate, saying the rate I'd seen was for a different program and had been put on their website by accident, it was Superior Solar who held the non-profit to the terms that they had advertised - ensuring that I got the best possible finance arrangements - and thereby saving me a lot of of money in interest rate charges. As for the work, everyone was very professional and friendly. You know how a lot of contractors say they'll show up at a particular time, and don't? That wasn't a problem with Superior Solar. They showed up a couple of minutes before the stated time, and were ready to work right on time. The team was friendly, competent; they cleaned up after themselves, and except for the brand-new solar panels on my roof - you'd never know they had been there. Pretty much perfect.

Superior solar design put together a system that matched my requirements and squeezed as much power as possible out of my limited available roof space. The system works well and I'm happy with the power production and backup capacity.
