Permits not pulled. Work not up to code. Roof not done properly. Property left in poor condition. Broken siding smashed lighting. False estimations of energy production. They were given over a year to correct this and they did not

When researching solar I got 7 regional & 1 national installer quotes. Onsite offered my preferred solar panel maker Silfab (American-made panels) . The quote was significantly lower than those with less-American-made panels. Ryon (Onsite owner) gave me a good tip to go with a single-inverter (Solaredge) instead of per-panel inverters for more robust power-handling and upgraded the spec to 7600W in case we want to add panels in the future. The house is oriented ideally for solar but had wiring challenges like a remote meter / main switch, and a maxed out breaker panel. Ryon & design staff were collaborative & flexible about my successive proposed changes to their component placement and made about 3 updates to the permitting design drawings. Onsite guided my electrician's upgrade work, which included a new main switch, and a back-fed breaker which I felt optimized the house wiring. Onsite waited on a full re-roof before installing the solar system with their disciplined & efficient crew. Getting Orange & Rockland utility permission to operate did hit a snag, inverter settings were correct but O&R just needed more tech info. But I know how hard it can be to get detailed tech info from a big component company. Onsite got that PTO on 2nd try. The neat Solaredge online dashboard shows our nominal 6720 Watt system has sometimes produced 6500 W. The end result: value, design layout, system performance and quality are ideal from our perspective.

The warranty options offered peace of mind, allowing me to enjoy the benefits of solar energy without worrying about potential unforeseen costs. It's this kind of assurance that sets this company apart.

They did a good job with the solar panels. So far no problems with the solar panels. Overall I really liked the service and how they did the job.

I came into this having done a ton of research on technical specs of panels and inverters, system design and optimization, building and fire codes, rebates and incentives, etc. Ryon - the company owner - and his team were able to take all that and work with me to fine tune my system design and dial it in perfectly. The whole process, from my initial phone discussions with them, to the site survey, to the install and to passing all inspections and getting permission to operate from the utility, was super smooth. Ryon kept me informed every step of the way and was always available and very helpful with any questions I had. Even after the system was up and running, when I had an issue with the Enlighten app, Ryon helped me sort it out quickly by calling the company. The install itself was very professionally done. Everyone in the crew was very respectful and did quality work and did it efficiently. You know the saying: Quality, speed or price - choose any two. Well it doesn't apply to OnSite. They somehow nailed all three parts of the Project Management Triangle. Can't say enough great things about this company. Would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone interested in going solar.
