We worked with Garrett at New Leaf Solar for both a brand new solar installation as well as an upgrade to an existing solar system. Garrett was incredibly responsive, understanding of our needs on both systems, and provided multiple options and quotes to get us the exact system and upgrades we needed. Onsite work was incredibly well thought out and managed. The New Leaf Solar crew was very thorough and used great attention to detail with the full installation. The site was also completely cleane after each visit. Upon completion Garrett walked me through all the settings on the system, how to connect it to our WiFi and the monitoring app for our inverter. We will absolutely use New Leaf Solar for future expansions on our solar system and we’d recommend him to anyone looking for any type of solar related work.

New Leaf Solar was not listed on the Energy Sage Site when I first began looking into installing solar panels on my garage roof; This was over two years ago. The volume of contacts that resulted from this initial probe, soon became (for me) overwhelming. There was always the pressure too rapidly sign a contract in order to cash in on a "special one time offer", or to get a job done "before government incentives ran out". Out of frustration, I decided to wait a year and, frankly, to consider doing it myself as a DIY project. The following summer, I noticed a New Leaf Solar ad in a local newspaper, and called the number. The man I talked to - Garrett Lee - was passionate about solar without giving the "hard sell". He quoted one very reasonable price and time frame, and never pressured me to make a decision. Meanwhile, I called Garrett numerous times with questions about the process and equipment involved, and was impressed with his knowledge and experience. The project went as planned. His work was very professional. His attitude was positive and respectful. I would hire New Leaf Solar again.

Garrett did a wonderful job with the sizing of the system, going over the explanation of different options of the components we could use and what the benefits were compared to one another. Next came the time to install, he and his crew arrived with the complete system. Mother Nature being as fickle as she could, we had rain, high winds, thunderstorms everything but snow. The crew made great use of their time working inside when they couldn’t outside. In a timely manner the job came to completion. Set up and training us on the operation of the installed equipment was explained so that even my wife and I understood the process of starting up, things to check while the system is running and how to shut down for the season when we leave. I’m so glad I found Garrett, who owns New Leaf Solar, in Ticonderoga, NY. I bought and moved into a beautiful piece of property in Schroon Lake which is off-grid. The only power available was a gas generator to keep the heat and lights on. Garrett came up with a plan and designed me a system to power my house immediately. The ground was frozen so trenching the solar power to the house was impossible. Garrett installed the batteries and Sol-ark inverter so that I could at least use the generator to charge the batteries a few hours a day…instead of running the generator all day. In the spring, the crew and Garrett were back to put the ground rack and 16 solar panels up in a day. The next day we were charging the batteries with the SUN!!! Every time I called to ask questions about how the system operated, Garrett picked up to answer my questions. The system has been running great!!! I even started renting the place out to Air B&B tenants. I was thinking I was going to retire and do nothing. With all the business I get through AirB&B, I’m going to build more outbuildings to rent out which means I will need more solar power in the future! I will absolutely be calling Garrett and using New Leaf Solar on the expansion.
